Great architectureI can't really say much about the university itself, I just came to visit to see the stunning basilica. There were actually less buildings with unique architectural elements than I was expecting. It appears that the bookstore and dorms and most general buildings are mostly square brick structures. Still worth visiting to see the Grotto, Basilica, and gold dome.

The university of notre Dame is a very beautiful campus. They have very unique landmarks and statues. It was a very nice place to walk around and get pictures. There were some very striking views to be seen around the campus.

We always enjoy our visits to the University of Notre Dame to cheer on our Fighting Irish! Excellent hospitality on this beautiful campus and the tailgating is fun and always good for making new friends! Can't wait to go back again!

I was here over the weekend on business. Decided to go for a 5k run around campus. Was absolutely beautiful. It was nice to see a campus that is kept up so nice. Great architecture as well as landscaping. If you’re in the area highly recommend take a look around!

The University of Notre Dame Campus is strikingly beautiful. The architecture of its buildings is stunning. In May the tulips around campus are beautiful to see. Souvenirs can be picked up from the bookstore. You can take in a mass at the beautiful cathedral or partake in a sporting event. It is a must see when visiting South Bend.

Gorgeous and historic campus. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. Several historic sites to visit including the Basilica, dome and library. Notre Dame stadium is also amazing! The ushers and staff were so helpful and kind. Overall great experience!

I was there today to run a Spartan Race. Three venue was awesome. I got a chance to run through the entire stadium, the football field, and some of the campus. We also got to run through the locker rooms and courtyard that had a great view of Touchdown Jesus. The Notre Dame Stadium staff was great too. Very professional. They treated the few thousands of racers, Spartan Race staff, and spectators like family. I'd definitely like to go back again soon.

Incredible campus, I felt like I was at a national park or museum. Very peaceful, we were here for a tour, my son loves the campus and school, and hopefully, he gets accepted.

In the spirit of full disclosure I am somewhat biased as I am an Alumnus. That said, this is truly one of the most unique and beautiful college campuses in the country. I love returning when in the area, and now that I am retired have more time to do so! Do yourself a favor, and put this place on your "bucket list" for places to go!

Beautiful place to take a meditative walk in the winter. Summers are for crowd lovers only. Easy flat access to beach from parking. Down the road at Tunnel Park there is a very steep decline to traverse to access the beach from the parking area.

Beautiful State park with a pier and lighthouse, nice sand dunes and beautiful long grasses cover the dunes, has a large bathroom area and changing rooms and outdoor showers, an area to watch the boats go in and out of Lake Michigan and two walking paths to help you get all of your gear out to the beach. There is a small kids park with swings and volleyball nets. Been coming here for 35 years and I still love it!

Nice state park with views, piers and a beach. The dunes were great. There is a lighthouse called "Big Red" right across the inlet you can get pictures of. We didn't stay long but enjoyed the visit.

We camped in the beach campground and had a phenomenal time. Everything was neat and tidy. The beach was 4 campsites down from ours, providing beautiful Lake Michigan Sunsets! The modern bathrooms and showers were well kept and clean. The camp host this weekend was super nice. We had a lovely time.

Plenty of parking and easy access down to the Lake from here.Lots of ice along the waterfront, so weren’t able to get too close, but it’s beautiful seeing the Lake in an icy clutch.Facilities are closed in the winter so do be prepared, and the pier is closed due to ice, but a beautiful spot.

Nice park with a fantastic location, and one of the two bath houses is really nice. The west bath house could definitely use an update, and some of the sites are a bit unlevel, so pay attention when booking for a large RV. We had an asphalt pad and still need all of our leveling wedges to get it right. Still worth visiting this park despite the few shortcomings.

Clean rooms and nice people run it.Great location.The outside needs work, but looks like it is being worked on. There is no pool or mini golf,but if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to stay,this is an option.There is a decent restaurant in the lot ,a bar and an antique store. Small fridge in the room and microwave in a common room.

This is a state park in Lake Michigan. They have 2 piers you can walk out on when the water is acting up. It was closed the day I went. The wind was blowing and the waves were coming in nice. The park was nice though we really only saw the beach and pier area. They have a cool lighthouse and a plaque explaining the history of the lighthouse. The park seemed well kept and clean and the scenery was awesome. There was a playground area for the kids. If you like being outside, around the water and beach, this was a beautiful place to visit. I would recommend going and checking it out if you are in the area. It would be amazing in the summer for summer fun too.

Great trail on the shorter side. Can be steep at the beginning and end but other than that, it's a nice hike with a lovely view of lake Michigan, the red lighthouse and the sand dunes.The campground itself is pretty tight quarters. Not many trees, so I wouldn't count on using hammocks.It seems like primarily an rv park.It does have bathrooms and showers in the center of the campground.

Campground is a parking lot but right at the beach. No fire pits but you can bring your own. Family friendly. Verizon service decent. You have to pay to park still even with reservation

If you like the beach, especially if you've never been to a freshwater coast, this is a great place to start. It offers a little something for everyone. There is a nice beach that is kept very clean.

We enjoyed being close to the beach. Our E-bikes were perfect on the many bike paths around the area. Our hike had a beautiful Overlook as a reward, Our campsite was nice, but was next to the main road for the beach. Noisy motor heads had the only disappoint. Nice two day stay.

Location, location, location! For reference, my husband & I stayed 4 nights in July 2023 in our 40 ft motorhome. The park is in a premium location and walking/biking distance to the beach, restaurants & shopping. We rented bikes from Oak Grove Campground for 2 days and loved riding around the beautiful town. The big red lighthouse is a short walk from the park and a great place to watch the sunset. The sites are decently spaced apart and level. If you’re lucky enough, they have some full hookup sites. We were in corner spot #159 (50 amp hookup only). Things to know: cell service was good, there are a lot of tent campers and families with small kids, the park is strict on their noise policy and does night patrols. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend this campground.

Ok, let me get this out of the way. The check-in process was a nightmare. You weren’t allowed to check in before 3pm and we unfortunately arrived at 2 so we were made to wait. We decided to wander for an hour since we couldn’t wait in the parking lot. Returned at 3 and the line to get in was unbelievable. It took over half an hour.Anyway, the campground was great. Bathrooms and shower rooms were fantastic. Very clean and taken care of. The sites were a bit close together but actually it was surprisingly quiet. Once we saw how packed it was we thought it was going to be a mess, but we had a very nice stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Sites were pretty wooded, and shaded. Beach sites were close but not crowded and had easy beach access. The beach, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Water was warm, it was all sand, and super shallow. Even like 25 feet away from shore and it was maybe 4 feet deep. All time favorite Michigan beach.

Great campground with a short drive to the beach, which is beautiful!I did want to mention one thing that affected our "camping party"; we had read you could check in early if your campsite was vacant.**This is not true anymore** at this campground in Holland Michigan anyway.*Check in is at 3. No exceptions - even if your site is free.

Nice State Park campground. We stayed in the wooded half, not the beach. There were nice shade trees over half the campground and the bathroom and showers in that half was very nice! They were holding a Halloween event with campsite decorating contest, coffee and donuts, and trick or treating for the kids, also. There is a LOT of road noise audible in the campground, so it's not the quietest option.

Fun place to spend the day for all ages. Great range of rides from big thrills to nice slow motion and lots for the little ones too. Full size water park included. You really need more than one day to experience everything. The lines are not as long as I expected. The longest we had to wait for a ride was 30 minutes most were less. Food was the biggest disappointment of course overpriced but half shops were closed the ones that were open didn't have all of the items on their menu and the service was the worst I have seen.

Pretty good time! Buy the fast pass! Buy your parking ticket online! Veteran discount is awesome! Few slides still closed most of the day. Obviously still short staffed. No one cleaning around the water park trash everywhere. Several drink stations also not open.

I took my son (10), nephew (7), niece (12), and brother to Michigan Adventure “Trick and Treats.” I think for the age group and what rides were running 12-6 is enough time to do whatever you want. My disappointment was in the restaurants or eateries. Coasters was good and was running great. Midway Munchies ice cream machine was not turned on so there was no ice cream there. Ended up getting nachos and the nacho cheese was “old” looking cheese. That disappointed me. Wildcat Grill was good. I was disappointed that the “boo-ffet” was not included with the premium dining plan. With the purchase it should include really any or all dining options.

My family had a good time. Was not super impressed with the size of the park or the amount of rides down and food stands not set up during our visit on a weekend. Considering this is an amusem*nt park that is related with Cedar Point, I assumed it would have a lot more rides and nicer rides as well. Most rides are very old and the entire park isn't near as big as Cedar Point. Disappointed. Went to the water park and had fun in the kid area, but again a lot was not working. Also too many people inside the park during covid. The wave pool was slammed full of people everywhere.

This place was wall to wall people! They ran out of chairs, life vests, and tubes, at the water park. The design of this place was very confusing and there are no signs to point you in the right direction to get where your going. Especially trying to navigate to the exit of the park. Nothing is marked! The website told us the hours were 12-6, the lady at the gate said 12-7 but in fact the park didn’t close until 8. It was very confusing, so was the pricing. Online it said admission was $39.99 but in fact it was $50 for anyone 3 and up. I didn’t see any capacity limits anywhere posted here, and it was obvious they weren’t enforcing them anyway. We went on a Sunday, maybe going on a weekday would be less crowded. I hope the park gets their act together, train these employees to have the correct pricing and hours information and change the website to match what’s posted at the park so people can plan their visit correctly. The pictures I posted from inside the park were at 6 pm at the water park (closing) and 8 pm in camp snoopy on the way out of the park.

Michigan’s Adventure is a nicely kept park with various rides with a variety of thrills. You do walk through security and the staff there was very pleasant. We purchased our tickets online for a good deal on weekdays and it was very easy to enter the park by scanning from my mobile device. We brought our wagon with us for our toddler and swim gear. Our son was able to ride most rides with an accompanied parent and was able to ride some rides on his own. The staff were young adults and they adhered to height safety protocols. We spent majority of our time at the water park in the little tyke area which was good fun for our son. They have life vests available for young swimmers but we brought our own. There was a confusion at the icee vendors when I wanted to purchase a regular cup (not souvenir); I was passed between 2 locations due to staffing/miscommunication with no resolution so I chose something else. Overall we had a wonderful time!

I work here, I recommend coming on a weekday, sometime near the middle of the week such as a Wednesday, as practically every ride will be a walk on with no line, including shivering timbers.Shivering Timbers is the best run ride as it's got 2 trains, while mad mouse is the slowest ran ride, usually having the longest line in the whole park. For Zach's zoomer, come near the middle of the day (1-3PM) for no line.This park is REALLY overdue for a new roller coaster soon, they've got like 100 acres of unused land sitting in the back that could be used!

Nice amusem*nt park. We came for three days and found enough to do each day, which was nice. Definitely not as big as some of the other parks. If you plan on going more than once, a Gold pass is worth it, because you also get free parking. If you plan on going to other Cedar Fair parks, the All Parks pass add on is definitely worth it!!

Perfect variety of rides for all ages. Lots of games too--I was surprised how easy it was to win prizes. We went July 1st and it was both great weather AND it wasn't crowded. Super good food, especially the pizza! The park is thorough with safety, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!!!

We had a lot of fun here today. Riding rides and walking around. This park does not accept cash so be sure to have your cards. Food prices are high and mainly pizza, ice cream, hamburger and hotdogs. You cannot bring in a cooler you have to leave it in the car. We got there early and lines were not that long but as the day went on the wait could be an hour or more. The rides seemed to be well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. One last thing at the time of this review parking is $25 for regular size vehicles.

Had a great time with my family of 5. Kids are 15, 8, 7. This is a great place for the younger kids. Wish it was open later so we could ride some rides and see the lights. Also wish the Waterpark was open later. I guess that's why people buy 2 day passes and season passes. We will be looking into that for the next time. Overall very clean, family friendly park. Ate the buffet it was delicious. Great souvenir prices and options. Haven't been here in many years and the addition of camp snoopy is great!!

This park is a cute little park but there’s not much to do. There aren’t many options for younger kids nor thrill seekers. I guess if you’re right in the middle it might be great for you. We’d rather make a little longer drive to Cedar Point where they have at least 4x the amount of rides for little kids and much more for bigger ones who enjoy rollercoasters.

Went on a Wednesday in early June with a 3 and 9 year old and spent 6 hours in the amusem*nt park busy the whole time! We were concerned because the water park was closed the 2 days prior to our visit because of weather. Though it was open for our visit, we didn't have time to hit it.When the 3 year old is a bit older we will likely buy season passes- as soon as you go twice, it makes the season tickets worth the price. Go a whole day just for the water park and another just for the coasters.There was plenty to do for us all for several hours. Early June felt like it wasn't as busy as it could've been and we didn't need to use fast passes. Long walk but the toddler really enjoyed her rented stroller and snoopy camp. The 9 year old loved trying all of the roller coasters for the first time.The staff were ALL wonderful.

Taking the Badger across Lake Michigan had been on my bucket list for quite some time. Taking the crossing did not disappoint and the Badger itself and the Lake Michigan Carferry Service exceeded my expectations with the service and friendliness of the crew. Riding the Badger is like stepping back in time to another era. One that lets you relax and be in the moment. The museum onboard is very insightful and really lets you know about the legacy of the route and the ferries that also served the area back in the day. Because I have more to explore in both Michigan and Wisconsin and since the Badger is part of our National Heritage, I am adding this trip to do once a year going forward. You may ask why I only gave this review 4 stars? The only drawback was the food service on board. For a 4-hour crossing pizza slices and corn dogs do not suffice. They definitely can do better with their food service.

We took the ferry at the end of May 2023 so it wasn't full. Trip took 4 hours and there was enough time to enjoy the fresh out on the upper deck as well as a meal and bingo in the main inside cabin.There is also a upper cabin at the back of the ship for a more peaceful crossing if you wished.Staff are very friendly and happy to help you if you need it.Couple of tips - make sure you arrive an hour before your trip - you car is valet parked on the ship so you need to ensure there is enough time to get boarded.Credit cards are accepted on board in the gift shop and cafes. Drink and food selection is good and you should be able to find something suitable.There is bingo and quiz's going for most of the crossing and a small movie room too. I would suggest a good book and to enjoy the views outside.When boarding, you will need to be able to climb at least 2 sets of stairs if you have limited mobility. I believe there is a chair lift but didn't see it in action.Bring a coat or sweater - it can be windy and cool on the deck, even in the summer.

It was our first time on the car ferry. It was fun and all the people were very nice. Even though the sun hid behind the clouds and only came out for a few minutes, it was definitely worth the experience and price.

Nice experience crossing Lake Michigan, and certainly more restful than driving through/around Chicago on the way home from Wisconsin. Reasonably priced (especially with high gas prices), and exactly on schedule every time. Highly recommended if you'd like to relax for 4 hours during a long trip while still putting some miles behind you.

All the staff is so friendly and willing to chat with you, answer all your questions. So many different areas to hang out and activities to do while you make your way across Lake Michigan. Felt like a mini cruise! And definitely made the ride home more enjoyable. What a great experience, for all ages!

We loved our ferry ride. The car came with us. The day was sunny and beautiful. Birds were flying above the water. A perfect day. Alot of activities on the ferry bingo games and even a museum and small theater. A must see.

Enjoyed the trip. The staff on board were nice and helpful. The food offered on board was very limited had a very school lunch vibe. The bar had a good variety and was able to enjoy a nice drink while on board. The view of the lake was beautiful, but be aware if sitting on the deck there is a breeze that got quite chilly.

We love taking the SS Badger at the end of our vacation. It's a great trip and Lake Michigan is beautiful! It's fun to watch the cars, mobile homes and motorcycles load onto the ship. A great experience with something for everyone.

The last coal-fired steam ship. Enjoy great food while taking a 3.5 hr crossing of Lake Michigan. Tell your friends that your taking Route 10 across the Lake. Join the crew for a game of Bingo or rest easy on lounge in the Bow of the ship. A memorable time will be had by all

I give you one star. Your gift giving is cheap. You don't have enough winners. The food in the steak room isn't good nor the decor. It use to be a fun place but it's not anymore. Time for a change.

First visit. Big casino and Nicely laid out is specific gaming areas. Table poker over there, craps over here, etc. It does permit smoking and you'll know at the front entrance. 1 point off for that

Fun place to get out the house play slots win jack pot. Nice atmosphere all but the smoke not a smoker i like fresh air. Smoke not good for lung cancer. Fresh air good if they had smoker room for the crack heads.

I loved it there yesterday,it was fun. The machines are my money 💰 thou,😁😁😁😝. I had a glass of margarita and left. But I would recommend a smoke free partition cus everyone don't smoke but want to partake in other casino activities.

Other than dry cleaning my pockets, I had fun here. Would have been nice if the slot machines weren't incredibly tight like a duck's butt in water lol. Clean well laid out and very organized. Unfortunately the buffet closed awhile back, but there are a few options on the main level. Too much room dedicated to the sports book lounge that could have had slot machines in them. This limited some gaming options.

Since I didn't win any $ on the slots, it was just ok. The staff was helpful and friendly and the parking was well lit and abundant. My bf went thru $290 and I went thru $80 in about an hour.

Friendly staff, Drinks come pretty quick when you push the button at a machine. Dealers are nice and helpful if you've never played a game before. There is a large verity of machines. They also have a buffet with a really good selection of different kinds of food. I look forward to coming back and playing there again. Just next time let me win some money and not break even.

We were here for a concert and security had no idea what they were doing, three separate lines to tell you to go to a different line. Most attendees missed the opening band (Lorna Shore). Drinks are reasonable, but the slots are garbage. Go to the Hard Rock instead if you're in the area

Went to the Jeff Dunham Show and the Theater was AMAZING! Casino was awesome and loved the smoking section. Gaming and smoking a cigarette is a great experience. Lines for the food was a bit rough though seemed like they need a little help with organization. Overall neat and good experience

Horseshoe is my favorite casino! I’m not much of a gambler, but once in a while I like to come here. The drinks from the bar are wonderful! My favorite is the margarita from the bar in the back. They also have a good selection of food and their pizza is great!

As much money as I have spent this year at the Horseshoe they ought to let me win a few jackpots, lol. Other than that I love the Horseshoe. The staff is nice. They have new slot machines. They just need different food. It gets very boring eating the same thing over again. I love to eat a good meal on Sundays if I'm at the horseshoe. The buffet needs to reopen and they just need to have the food covered this time. They had the best buffet to me. There was this one particular slot attendant tho who was very rude to a guest. I was standing right there. The slot attendant didn't have a smile on her face or anything and that made me uncomfortable and she wasn't even there to help me. She was there to help the other guest.

I'm a seven star member and the horse doesn't make you feel like one. It is impossible to get ahold of the reward desk. Every time I call , no one picks up or they hang up on me. At this point I weather send my money at the HardRock casino. There's a pretty good chance I will not return back to horseshoe.

Took in a live show at the casino. The box seats were great and the staff was very well organized. Overall it felt like a great place to see a live performance, especially if you can get seats on the upper level.

This isn't like the location I've visited in Maryland. The customer service was excellent. However, It's dark and not welcoming. The machines are old, and I'm praying my bank debit card is okay because their ATM machines were malfunctioning, multiple ones. I was so excited to visit this casino based on my visit to the other. It was quite disappointing. My party left and we went to Hard Rock Casino. We didn't win big, but it's brighter, it has newer machines, and the energy is far more exciting.

I loved the different areas of Millennium Park. Cloud Gate was so interesting. My favorite part was inside, looking up at the middle. Downtown Chicago has so many amazing outdoor spaces. The architecture is beautiful and I love how art is sprinkled throughout the city. If you want to get pictures with less people there, you'd probably have to go very early in the morning. I was here in the middle of May, in the middle of the day, during the week and it was busy as if it were the weekend.

It's a cool park to walk through to see some cool pieces of art/sculpture. They have security art the entrance, making sure you are not bringing anything illegal in. We really wanted to see "the bean" (Cloud Gate), but it was fenced off for some maintenance. There were still tons of people trying to take pictures.

Very beautiful and chill park in general. Unfortunately the surrounding of cloud gate is under construction so I couldn't reach close. The performing space is crazy! Very strange and stunning metallic building with many many speakers hanging in the sky. Super impressive area which combines chilling vibe and sci-fi ish atmosphere around. It's so beautiful when the tress turns in yellow at Fall.

If you're going to Chicago, then you definitely need to stop by Millennium Park and visit Cloud Gate (The Bean). It's such an amazing place to visit and spend an afternoon walking around the park or simply have nice picnic. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend it.

Millennium Park in downtown Chicago is a world class park with amusem*nt and cultural service facilities for the visitors. At the heart of downtown Chicago, the Millennium Park is a jewel of Emerald. Surrounded by tall skyscrapers and Victorian palaces, the park is a very good piece of Nature in a busy metropolis. Even though it was closed off it was worth going. The ice-skating was fun. The whole area was very nice and a fun family activity. I will definitely go back! During Christmas time the area looks very pretty with all the lights. The price for the ice-skating is very good! For 1 hour and a half you only got to pay 16 dollars and they even have lockers to secure your stuff.The ice-skating rink provides a delightful experience for both beginners and seasoned skaters. The well-maintained ice surface ensures smooth gliding, and the facility's vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment. Skating sessions are reasonably priced, and the rental equipment is in good condition. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering assistance to those less confident on the ice. Beautiful place!!! You can spent so much time taking pictures around the bean but we also enjoyed the ice skaters. It was not too cold so we could spend quite a while around. Lots of nice places close too.

The Bean was in our sights as a "must see" on this trip to Chicago. It did not disappoint. We discovered how beautiful the Millennium and outskirts of the city was as we walked for hours in shear awe. While it was raining, the umbrella kept us semi dry. The smiles, laughter and happiness of people finally being able to be out and together again, is exactly what COVID took away. It feels good. We will return.

A must visit park while in the Chicago area. It’s a close walking distance from the iconic River walk and it’s right on the Michigan Avenue, just south of the river.It’s a quiet park, considering the hustle and bustle of the downtown. The park is very well maintained and has a few entrances, controlled by security throughout. You can easily spend 2-4 hours in the park, depending on what you want to do here. There are also regular events held here at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, one of the premier outdoor Amphitheaters, so that will have to factor in. It’s free entrance to the park itself.You will see ‘The Bean’ work of public art here. The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations, currently undergoing some construction work. Lake Michigan is just a few minutes away from this park and so is the Chicago River. If you took the hop on hop off bus tour, there is a stop at this park as well.

First visit to Chicago. It was a beautiful fall day and the weather was amazing. The natural foliage and the landscaping were breathtaking. It was so much to see and appreciate. Walking into this park centered within the city is perfection. A must see!

Lovely green Park with lots of community gathering places. The bean plaza is under renovation through March 2024. So can only see through the fence. There is a fantastic outdoor concert space. At the time of year we visited (November) the kinetic water feature between 2 large and changing digital faces had been switched off for the season. It must be great in the summer for kids to cool off and have fun.

I am in love with this park. It’s gigantic, it takes a long walk to go through all of it. It has two ice-skating rings, cool art installations, the famous bean of Chicago, parks for kids, and a stage for concerts. Those are the few things we did see at the park, because we did not have enough time to walk through all of it. I had a blast with my family, I highly recommend visiting this famous park in Chicago, where you can even get a view of the lake.

This is one of the most iconic places to visit while in Chicago! It is amazing how smooth and reflective it is being so enormous! We went on a Monday afternoon in March, but it was still very busy. We were still able to get a few great pictures! Parking is kinda complicated at first, but not too bad. It is all underground, and there are very few signs to tell you where to go (this seems like a very common thread for Chicago). The only signs once you park just say, “Pedestrian Exit”. It is a bit of a walk, so wear good shoes.

An iconic location for Chicago visit. It’s always packed with tourist. You just have to wait your turn to get your spot. Forewarning, just pick the day without rain and pictures will turn out great. I think selfie stick is a must for this location. The park is clean and well maintained by law enforcement. Parking is challenging for sure. Recommended public transportation.

Cloud Gate, I've been calling it 'The Bean' all week.I would definitely recommend visiting this piece of art when you're in Chicago. My partner and I didn't expect much to be honest. My partner said its just a mirrored bean. But it's actually pretty cool and very large. It's great on a sunny day to see the sun's reflection along with the sky and buildings and makes for some awesome photos.Head to the Bean you won't be disappointed!

A must visit tourist attraction place. Sit and walk around for 15 minutes, take pictures and selfies. The Bean is free to visit, so you don't need to "sprout" any ticket money . Designed by an Indian architect as per Google search. The structure is big, and you can pass under it as well. Shiny!

As of Thanksgiving 2023, it is still closed to the public due to maintenance. I was told that the people from Chicago weren't thrilled with "the bean" when it was first built, but it has become an icon. I love how you can see the reflection of the city on it. You can still get a good photo if you find a good spot. It is free to the public.

The Bean is a pretty neat experience. A giant chrome coffee bean. Some days it is very crowded. The underside of the bean has some very interesting visual reflections. The absolute center has the only flat mirror portion. If you are in Chicago or plan to visit. I suggest checking it out. There is also some old buildings across the street. We liked looking at the buildings as much as the Bean.

I visited in February on a solo birthday trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Cloud Gate. It’s how I expected, but honestly much cooler than I thought. Beautiful to watch the sun glint off the sculpture and the ice skating rink is lovely to people-watch. I went on a Saturday and arrived about 11am via the subway — it wasn’t unbearably busy or overcrowded but obviously expect other tourists to be there most of the time. I didn’t have any security check but did see them doing them later in the day. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the park itself is gorgeous. This truly is a can’t-miss!

They were doing construction, so there was a fence up around it, but you could still see the bean. Attraction is free to see. There is a lot more in that general area so there’s plenty to do. Parking is like anywhere else in the city find a garageand walk to your destination. There are public bathrooms nearby.

One of the best architecture pieces in Chicago. As being over the best architecture city in the world this sculpture makes Chicago even more beautiful.As I was studying in Chicago I visited this place many times and in all different seasons during different times of the day.Every time it looks more beautiful and every time you visit this place you'd fall in love with this again.One day I also decided in freezing winter to do small bike trip here and you might see that in one of the photos 😛. Forever captivated by the beauty and history encapsulated in the Art Institute. Not a place to visit too often as the gallery is largely full of permanent installations, but there is always some sort of special exhibition/gallery taking place when they are open. Entire building is extremely clean with staff and maps scattered around in order to make your experience more enjoyable. Many famous works that one recognizes from pop culture or past studies are able to be seen here. One of the top art museums in the world and an undeniable staple in Chicago’s history. Do not miss out on viewing everything it has to offer.

What else is left to say about this incredible museum, which houses so much of the world's amazing art and history? Even people who aren't art buffs will find something to appreciate here (or at leastsomething familiar!). My only gripe about my visit was the extremely long line for the coat check. The staff were working hard to move it along, but we still incurred about a thirty minute wait at drop-off and then again at pick-up during our March visit. Try to avoid checking anything if you can, so you can get in and enjoy the museum.

Amazing art museum that is 100% well worth the visit. It holds everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts and mummies to modern American paintings like American Gothic and Nighthawks. You can easily spend more than 3 hours here. I would highly recommend visiting.

Very good museum, almost good at everything! It's just one little thing I'd like to say is that it's too big and the instructions are not very significant ( I understand it's for the better look but I got lost and missed some beautiful moments for 3 times....). I hope they have a better touring guidance or audio guide so that I have some clues of sequels in each exhibition area.Otherwise wow!!! It's like I've never seen so many beautiful stuff performed at once place in a good way, especially the Japanese area, they tried very hard to make the ambience feeling like the Japanese vibe, super impressive. I would say the way of exhibition is better than the Met in New York City.

Amazing museum with a large collection of works from important artists. The layout is well thought out and flows from one area to the next. Though large, not overwhelming in size. If you can plan a day there you will be pleased in what you cover.

For this particular occasion we went for the Pablo Picasso exhibit. We paid $5 as Illinois residents and it is worth mentioning that the museum is free during weekdays.The building itself is admirable, very well taken care of inside and outside. All of the exhibits are being looked after as there are hundreds of art pieces on a daily basis.Whether you’re are someone who is into sculpting, painting, architecture, mosaics, or any other form of art, the Art Institute of Chicago has something to offer.Definitely looking forward for more exhibitions.

It is so famous that I had expected the exhibit to be as informative and comprehensive as the British Museum or the Metropolitan. That might be too challenging. The display in each section is lack of clear plot/storyline, by which I mean the items are like various bread slices in a basket, correlated but not unable to compose a full piece. I understand this is an art museum, so the explanation notes mainly focus on art perspective. Still, for visitors who might come from different backgrounds, the museum could have done a better job of interpretation.

This is a stunning collection of artwork from so many famous painters and sculptors. The price is a bit high ($32/adult), but children 13 and under are free. The building felt like a maze at times and there were alarms constantly going off as people stood too close to artwork. Despite those minor inconveniences, this remains one of my favorite art museums!

My first time attending as an adult, I had a much bigger appreciation for the arts now versus as a kid. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we didn't get to see everything!! We were there for 3 hours and were amazed at all the pieces located here. I would wholeheartedly come back and make it an entire day. I felt like a tourist in my own city.

An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Chicago. I visited on a Monday morning which had significantly less crowds than the weekends. Entry was quick and easy and I saved on tickets by using the Citipass. Keep in mind tickets for non residents are more expensive. The entry way is beautiful and it's very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. My favorite areas were probably the Impressionists and Ancient Egyptian pieces. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits.As for accessibility: there were plenty of wide open spaces and wide open doors for wheelchairs/walkers/etc. to navigate through. There are handicap accessible ramps into the buildings as well as elevators to reach the different floors. Beautiful museum with an expansive collection of paintings and sculptures. You can easily spend hours here roaming the beautiful hallways and staircases. It’s free on certain days for Chicago residents so it made the experience even better. I’d recommend to check this place out when you come to Chicago.

Beautiful building filled with beautiful paintings. I especially enjoyed the Monet collection. I thought I would be taken by the lilies, but wheat piles just took me to another dimension, and i was sober, alright ;). I also liked Van Gogh and other impressionists. The collection of eastern ceramics and wall paintings was also impressive. We stopped by only for few hours, so we didn't see everything, but i definitely plan to come back ;).

This place is immense and worth every penny of the admission fee. See some highlights like American Gothic or that famous Seurat painting at the park you recognize from studying pointillism back in school. But don’t miss some hidden gems: creepy Goya etchings from 1800s Spain, the picture of Dorian Gray from the 1945 film, and a fascinating collection of miniature rooms that look ready for Stuart Little to move in. They also have a very wide range of Picasso styles collected under one roof and the impressionism section truly is a must-see!

This is one of the best museums around. I like the impressionist exhibits. Show Case Monet Renoir Manet Vincent Van Gogh also. The exhibits and paintings are so wonderful to view. Very nice experience. A must visitnif you are in Chicago. We also visited the Picasso special exhibition too.

Absolutely exhilarating though I backed onto the ledge and didn't look down! We went during golden hour though I think the lighting for pictures would've been best at dusk or night. The weather was perfect on Saturday so we could see for miles! The staff was really nice and directed us to the shortest line! I think it's great that there's a time limit for everyone and that you're able to get back into line if you want to take another look or get more pictures! We only waited about 15 minutes each time, and went up on the ledge twice. The gallery preceding the elevator to the 103rd floor was really informative and taught me a lot I didn't already know about Chicago or other tall buildings. The money is totally worth it! Get tickets ahead of time!!!

Everyone should experience Chicago from the top as well as from the river and the neighborhoods. We really enjoyed the exhibit leading to the lookout, too. Some in our group stepped out onto the glass ledge very reluctantly, but all enjoyed mastering the challenge. The views were breathtaking.

So, there I was in Chicago, with just a day left to explore. I had heard about the Skydeck at Willis Tower, but I hadn't really planned on visiting. I thought, why not give it a shot? It's one of those things tourists do, right? And wow, am I glad I went for it. The moment you step onto the Skydeck, it's like the whole city opens up in front of you. You're way up there, on the 103rd floor, and the view is just mind-blowing.But here's the real showstopper – the glass box, also known as The Ledge. When you step out into it, there's this thrilling, almost surreal feeling. You're suspended in the air, with Chicago's streets and buildings far below. It's exhilarating and a little bit nerve-wracking, but in the best way possible. You're literally standing over the city, with nothing but glass under your feet!I spent a good amount of time just soaking in the views. You can see for miles – the skyscrapers, Lake Michigan, and on a clear day, even beyond the city limits. It's not just a tourist attraction; it's an experience that gives you a whole new perspective on Chicago. It's a must-do for sure, especially if you want to feel the heartbeat of the city from an entirely unique vantage point.Honestly, it was the perfect end to my Chicago trip. It’s one of those experiences that makes you appreciate the beauty and scale of a city. So, if you ever find yourself in Chicago with some time to spare, definitely check out the Skydeck. It's a memory you'll cherish long after you're back on solid ground.

If you're visiting The Ledge, buy your tickets for about the time you plan to be there. You don't have to show up exactly at this time, it just helps the exhibit control the chaos. There's an amazing museum after check-in leading to the elevators that take you up, so give yourself 30-45 minutes to enjoy all that as well. The elevator ride is ridiculously quick at under a minute. You can hang out on the Skydeck for as long as you like. Once at The Ledge, you can get back into the queue as many times as you like. They only give you about 90 seconds on The Ledge, a little more for larger groups, so have your poses planned in advance. I suggest visiting well before sunset, as photos can be washed out by the sun behind you. However, just after sunset and before dusk is beautiful. And when it's finally dark out, the city lights are wonderful viewing, but pictures can get lots of glare and reflection off the glass. Once back on the ground, they will sell you photos and digital copies for an expected premium, $35-50.The Ledge exhibit costs about $35/person, so it can be expensive for larger groups/families, but overall it's a wonderful experience. Research your parking options ahead of time, or expect to pay about $50 on top of the exhibit fees.On a personal note, the entire staff from building entry, up to the top, and back down on the ground were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional.

Had a blast and if you take your time in the history/ picture taking part you can easily spend an hour inside making it worth the price. The view is also beautiful allowing for views one every side of the building and making the price of $39 worth it. Definitely a fun experience to do while in Chicago!

Although for standing in a deck and clicking some stunning photos is a task as they gave a short time so it’s recommended to go with just 2 people at a time so that you can get a decent picture in a short time. Super attraction! Fortunately it was not very busy. Got to the 103rd floor pretty quickly. Stepping onto the viewing "box" can be a challenge if you are leary of heights. Great views on a clear day. We had a smokey view from the Canadian fires. Highly recommend this place!

Very nice place to check out. The views are incredible! Better management is needed, though, on how much time people can spend taking pictures. The time clock doesn't work for all groups who are there to enjoy the place.

It is one of the very touristy things to do just to say that you've done it. We went in the morning and were able to get through it pretty quick as there weren't that many people there yet. The elevator ride was cool as it lists how tall the building is compared to the others in the world. The view from the top was pretty good as it was a clear day. For the Ledge part, you have 90 seconds to take your photo before being ushered out, so plan accordingly on how you want to take your photos. You can also purchase the pre-set photos that they take for you in the beginning and also at the ledge.

Very nice views, a bit crowded, so the time on the glass ledge is very limited. I liked that there were plenty of food options on the 1st floor and also enjoyed color factory while I waited for my time slot. The store is really well stocked and the prices weren't too bad.

The customer service here was phenomenal. They noticed my birthday crown and offered me a birthday button to wear, which was super cool! The views were gorgeous! Overall, it was a great way to kick off our Chicago/Birthday Trip!We bought the City Pass as well, which we highly recommend for the best value!

Nice place, you can see all 4 corners of Chicago. We went during weekdays and wasn't crowded so we could stay more time taking pictures. We bought some souvenirs but then find out that the same souvenirs you can get them on CVS or Walgreen at 1/3 of the price.

Great views of the city and beyond, weather permitting. They have fun informational displays to wander through before you go up, and lots of space up top. The glass ledge is a hit with nearly all visitors. Gave me a touch of vertigo. Staff was professional and polite.

I came here during the week at about 1pm on a Monday mid May and there really wasn’t too much of a wait. I purchased our tickets online as we entered the building. Honestly, I had not been to the tower in about 3 years, there was obviously major renovations to the basem*nt where you board the elevator to the Skydeck. ( Which really improved aspects of visiting the Willis tower) There was such cool decor and interactive features you could take photos next to. I particularly enjoyed the walk towards the elevators. You get up there fairly fast, so remember to bring some chewing gum for your ears. But once you’re up there it is absolutely spectacular. My favorite part was veering over the side that faces the lake. It was so beautiful, honestly who knew there were so many different shades of blue out there in Lake Michigan. My kids loved the opposite side that faces the city view because that’s where you get to stand on the glass ledge and see the city below you. You get about 2 full minutes to stand in the glass box they stick you in. You can take your own photos and you also have the option to purchase a photo they snap of you once you’re in there. They sell pretty gifts there but they are very pricy so don’t forget your loot. Absolutely highly recommend stopping at this Major Chicago Gem.

Absolutely breathtaking experience. The sights from the top height is exhilarating yet beautiful. It’s an amazing view and standing by the ledge is a little scary but worth the photos. This is definitely a must see if you’re coming to Chicago!

Breathtaking experience with ledge and 360 degree panoramic views of Chicago. The path the leads to elevator is modernized and you can spend easily 30 minutes exploring things even before you go to the Sky deck.There are many food courts and several other amenities in this tower.

Fun experience. Keep in mind that there may be some waiting times. We used our Chicago pass for entry. If you're with a big group I would recommend getting the express passes.The route to the observation deck is actually quite fun as it provides some backdrops for photo ops and some educational information on Chicago buildings and culture.They take green screen pictures shortly after entering the line and upstairs at the ledge they take two professional pictures that you can purchase. downstairs for $31. The friendly staff is also very helpful and happy to take pictures with your own phone. You have about 1 minute to take your own pictures while on the ledge.

It was my first time here. I'm glad I came to visit the & see the view. It's amazing day or night. I didn't like that they rushed us out of the deck for pictures, but it was nice. Apparently, they only give you 2 min to take pics, which is crazy for the price you pay, but either way, it was a great experience. 👌💯

Beautiful view and one of the tallest skyscraper in the US. Enjoyable experience as well with what they call «the ledge». Highly advise to book this one through the City Pass as you will have access to the priority admission which allows you to skip a few queues.

My whole family went to see Lightscape at the Chicago Botanical Gardens this weekend. It was incredible! The lights were beautiful. Be sure to dress warm... It was freezing the night we went. It takes about an hour and a half to walk the entire path and see everything. I would highly recommend going! It was lot of fun... And enjoyable for the entire family.

Amazing experience! We live about 3 hours away and drove here to check it out. We'll worth the trip! Wide variety of plants and gardens. The outdoor area is massive--wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk! Great spot for taking photos, too, so long as you're not crowding and blocking others.

Beautifully maintained garden. We spent several hours walking the different paths and exploring the gardens. The Japanese garden was my favorite- beautiful waterfalls and unique trees. We ended our walk in the Blooms and Butterflies exhibit. Small greenhouse with some really pretty butterflies. I recommend good walking sneakers and bottled water.

Amazing time at the Chicago Botanical Garden! This place is so huge I highly recommend making it a day adventure and bringing a lunch or eating at the Cafe on site. Also, take the tram ride for the tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. My favorite gardens were the waterfall,English, and rose. The butterfly and blooms house was very nice.Overall a wonderful and experience and can't wait to come back to see more.We purchased both parking and admission early-- highly recommend. I’ve been a member since the start of 2023, and it’s been a pleasure being able to come visit the gardens through the seasons. There’s plenty of parking and room to enjoy the walks and trails through a variety of gardens that they’re always updating at the Botanic. They also hold many events. We’ve enjoyed the orchid show a few months back as well as the butterflies and blooms space over by the learning center. This is just a fantastic space to go for a walk and take in nature. Highly recommend to any and everyone! Handicap accessible and the new welcome center is beautiful!!

LOVE the new pricing model! It makes sense to charge per person that is entering vs. just by parking a car that could either have one person or seven.Yes, people used to be able to get in for free, either by walking or biking in, I did it several times myself. But if you get to enter and enjoy the gardens, you should also be the one paying for that admission.This isn’t a forest preserve or a park.For large groups, people with kids, and any other individuals that don’t really value the botanic garden or just don’t think it’s worth the price of admission there are plenty of beautiful parks, beaches, trails, and forest preserves in the area that are free. For those that find real value in the experience and/or are frequent visitors, the price of admission or membership is well worth it.

I love the Chicago Botanic Gardens! I’ve visited several times on vacation but now I live here and get to go all the time! Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons at the Gardens. It’s usually quite busy on weekends and holidays, so if you can, go on a weekday. You can still enjoy even when there are big crowds because this place is HUGE! If you live near, it is worth it to get a membership. Mine paid for itself in 3 visits. One of my “Happy Places”! Great for walks, lunch, relaxing or getting ideas for home gardens. It does cost to park too…so the memberships are the way to go, as there’s no parking fee.

The gardens here are lovely, and much more spread out than others we've visited. There are several themed islands, many many MANY trails, all kinds of wildlife (seeing a blue heron and a muskrat were particular highlights of our trip) and a miniature train exhibit as well! There is also a restaurant that incorporates produce grown on the grounds into its menu, but we were not able to visit as it was only open on weekends.Well worth the visit, but definitely wear your walking shoes, bring water, and be prepared to lose yourself for hours in a lovingly cultivated paradise!

It was the first time I had ever been and it did not disappoint! Amazing, beautiful, and smelled wonderful too! I loved the observation beehive, and the bonsai were exquisite.

Went and saw the orchid exhibit: The Orchid Show Untamed. It was lovely, informative, and set up so thoughtfully. There were several rooms of different temperatures and designs featuring different orchids and plants. There was plenty of seating if you got tired. There were guides to teach you and answer questions. As well as so many Instagram worthy photo spots if you’re into that. Worth every penny.I cannot wait to go back and see the entire outdoor garden in full bloom.

Awesome place and we only saw half of it due to child's nap time. The model train garden made me in awe and could spend so long in there just looking at every little detail. The gardens are awesome in general and cannot wait to see more. The Cafe was delicious and would recommend for lunch. Look forward to going back and seeing the rest

I absolutely adore this place, the staff’s always friendly and informative. Be sure to visit on a day with good weather to experience the gorgeous atmosphere, interesting exhibits and relaxing walks. If you suffer with mobility issues or just want kick back the Tram is a nice way to see/learn all about the gardens while providing a comfortable riding experience.

Absolutely beautiful botanic garden in the North shore area of Chicago land. Not only do they have beautiful landscaped garden areas but they have a few restaurants and food options during the summer months. As well as a wonderful Cafe all year round. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get in and out of this beautiful botanic garden.

Beautiful garden park with 385 acres of paths winding through many varieties of trees, flowers, bushes, and other plants. Many places to sit and take it all in. Not too crowded during my mid-week afternoon visit. I would have liked an opportunity to purchase a drink or snack when I was well into the park. Excellent signage and numerous maps so I always knew generally where I was in the park. Upon leaving I saw numerous parked trams which I never saw running through the park - they would have been a great way to see and experience more.

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens anywhere. We went on a sunny July day when the roses were in full bloom, and enjoyed strolling down the paths and soaking in the sights and fragrances. We loved observing the butterflies up close, and also really liked the bonsai trees and the English walled garden. I’m sure there was a lot that we missed, we’ll need to come again to continue exploring.

Great park. My only complaint is they aren't very good at pairing single riders which really bogs down the lines (even more so on coasters that are only running one train). While they have an impressive coaster lineup, numerous of their coasters are clones or have been cloned at other parks so there's only a handful of "unique" coasters. Don't get me wrong all the coasters are fun but The Whizzer is about the only one so unique that you can't get that experience at another park.

Had. A blast the three of us went it was awesome got on rollercoaster 🎢 I never thought I would. We went early on Saturday so the flash pass wasn't needed to skip the line. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and nice!!! I bought my season tickets online so everything was ready for us to get into the park, with ease!!!

Small but well organized park with rollercoasters! A small area allows you to walk the entire park in 10-15 minutes on foot, drinks are sold everywhere, there are smoking areas and restaurants with food, and comfortable places to relax. The park is very interesting, each attraction has its own history, which goes back years, reminding that nothing new has been invented since then, but there are favorite classics that people love to ride. There are a lot of people on holidays and weekends, and you have to wait in line for a long time, it is better to come on Monday or Wednesday. I really liked the park, but there are not enough sweet desserts! I would like a greater variety of sweet buns, donuts, and possibly cakes!!! I recommend

I visited Six Flags a few times this year. I will say getting a season pass is worth the value if you go more than once (even only twice). The pass includes parking, discounts on certain food and drinks in the park. Plus discounted tickets for friends and family.Six Flags offers many attractions for thrill seekers. I love the selection of Rollercoasters they have. The wait times weren't terrible, though I went on weekdays. I also brought my 8 and 6 year old children for Boo Fest recently and I was very impressed with how many attractions they had for little ones. The decorations were fun to look at and the rides kept them busy. There are dozens of food options and they do offer themed foods from time to time (Oktoberfest in September and October). The food can be pricey but, the quality is good. I bought a pass for next year, I used to go a lot when I was younger and it's still a great amusem*nt park with plenty to do. The longest I waited for am attraction was about 50 minutes.

Six Flags Great America is a FANTASTIC theme park! Not only does it have a bunch of coasters and spinning rides, but it has a LOT of rides for kids under 48in. At least 16 that I can think of, and about 12 of those kids under 42in can also ride. Their app has gotten really good; you can mobile order from a lot of different restaurants, see show times, and access the flash pass. The park is clean, the entertainment is top notch (I don't think I've met entertainers who are nicer than the ones here at SFGA, and they're super talented...and I go to Disneyworld a LOT, lol) food is good, and all the employees that I've ever encountered are kind and willing to help you. This review is ONLY for the main park. The waterpark is not open for the season yet...but we love it there too, especially since they added mobile ordering over in that section. You can only enter the waterpark from outside, there is no longer an entrance from inside the park. There is a six flags great america Facebook page for people who are fans of the park, and you can get a daily alert for up to date information about the park and meet new coaster enthusiasts, which will enhance your experience at the park.

The rides were pretty fun and overall a decent experience. Don't let the empty lines fool you, you'll be in line for hours if you don't have a "Flash Pass" it really is the pay to win system that gives people with money the most. So If you can afford it buy some of those passes, if not pass on six flags and go to kings island instead.

What a fun experience for our family!! So many rides for so many different thrill-seeking levels. I recommend buying tickets online about a month in advance - that seemed to be the lowest price. I also recommend going on a weekday. The lines were longest right after lunch (around 1pm - 4pm) If possible, get there 30min before it opens to get a good parking spot, lather on sunscreen, and wait in line for the gates to open. I also suggest bringing along lunch/supper. You are able to leave and re-enter the park as long as your hand is stamped, so save some money and pack food in the car. Tip: freeze the lunch meat and keep in a cooler w/ice packs in your car. It will be nice and cold for lunch (a bit icy, but good on a hot day!) and still cool/safe enough for supper.

Great time on the X-flight, Raging Bull, and The Viper.Really good rides. Some cool things for the kids. Fright fest is dope too! Great decorations and interactive bits throughout the park.Def a money grab. Regular nachos are going to be $18. Beer is $15. Everything is pricey here.Worth noting that if you go during the weekend (or any busy time) then you’re best off getting a fast pass. We got screwed by the place after waiting 45 min in line for raging Bull only for them to shut it down. Because of that we only rode 3 rides after being at the park for an entire day.

Six Flags Great America is open y’all. Today was a pretty good day. There was literally no line in the park. We have waited long enough.

The rides were great! Definitely got an adrenaline rush for sure. However it was the 4th of July so the only water ride they had was packed! And halfway through our day all the rides overheated and shut off. We waited about an hour or more and left due to maintenance taking a while to get everything back up. Slice of pizza was 20 bucks but it was good and vending machines charged 5 buckaroos for beverages. Definitely won’t be coming back until things cool off.

Great place to visit with family and kids. Lots of awesome rides. We enjoyed the each and every ride. Gotham City Rail ride is ready great. Food option are also nice and shops are open till 11.

Six Flags is definitely a thrills over atmosphere kind of park. There are some areas that they paid decent attention to though like Battle for Metropolis. If you're not into thrill rides, you might not get your money's worth as there are lots of crazy rides, a decent number of kids rides and not much in between. Plus of course, there are the lines on busy days. If you are an adrenaline junkie though, this is the perfect place for you.

This is such a bittersweet review. Our family enjoys coming here with our season passes because we live nearby. the rides are great and the park is clean. They have an amazing variety of adventurous rides to family rides. And the kids sections are great. They've been doing a lot better with their entertainment this summer than in the past. If you're coming here for just the day, I would not recommend it. The prices are skyrocketed and the parking charges are unjust. You will pay around $20 bucks for a mediocre/poor meal. Spend your money somewhere else. For being one of the only amusem*nt parks in the area, I expect a lot better.

FRIGHT FEST!!! GREAT TIME!! It's expensive to get in to six flags and it's costly while your in there. It's worth it when you get inside and get on the rides, and do the haunted houses. It's a cash less place so load your cards or have credit available. Parking is a nightmare and far to walk but it's a huge place. The scary characters walk around and they have scary zones so it's still a great time if you don't get the fright fest tickets. The kids will absolutely love what's going on and have a blast with all the scary characters walking around. The lines for waiting are big but generally move quite quickly. Hope you enjoy!!!

The museum was very well put together. The staff was friendly and helpful to anyone who was there. Unfortunately I didn't have time to eat at the restaurant though. Next trip that will happen.The way the museum is mapped out, the quality of the pieces, and the audio self tour info really makes it fun.Just a few photos. Don't want to ruin it for your visit.

Being a huge fan and considering these motorcycles world's most sophisticated and beautiful, visiting this museum was the top reason for our day trip from Chicago.I found the entry fee slightly over 20$ reasonable for exhibition spreading on 2 floors and top vault.Museum is well organized. The first floor (where you enter) starts with founding explanations, first models produced, HD role in WWI and WWII as well in almost all public services.Most interesting on the lower floor (ground floor) for me were the custom made and decorated models which are indeed work of art.

Absolutely fantastic. The cost is around 20$ a person. If you are a hog member, it is free.The effort and time put into preserving the history is commendable. I posted several pictures of the bikes. There are video documentaries there you can watch as well. They have a wall of all the tanks. They have a room with just the engines. I can't say enough. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, add this place to your list.I would plan on spending a couple of hours here. There are plenty of spots to rest. Clean bathrooms.

Cool place to go even if you are not a bike fanatic. I personally think the cost was a bit much for how small the museum was ($22 per adult, $5 additional for audio tour). Part of it is under construction. You do get free parking however. Really interesting to see the development of the bike and the company. You will take 1 hour and 1/2 at most unless you plan to read everything.

I'm not a Harley, motorcycle owner, or rider, but this museum was pretty cool. On display are bikes from every year from the start of Harley Davidson, 1903. And a wall of engines, you can even hear them run and see photos. Also a wall of the Harley gas tanks, Evil Knievel's bike, lots of memorabilia. And a few bikes to sit on and take photos. It was a lot of fun!

My father and I have always been motorcycle fans and when we found out that the Harley-Davidson showroom was in Milwaukee we had to go. They have two tour options and audio guided tour where you just walk at your own pace. We decided to walk at our own pace and had an amazing time looking at all the history of where Harley came from to where they are today. They have some absolutely amazing machines on display like the old school postmaster bikes, world war I and II sidecar bikes to there current selection. It was truly amazing seeing where they started and how far they've come and it definitely made my dad smile and brought back some amazing memories for him of when he used to work on his old Harley. They also have a restaurant bar and wedding venue there which I thought was amazing there was a wedding going on while we were visiting everyone was super cool could be a great spot for a wedding for any bike enthusiast. This is a must see when in Milwaukee.

We visited the museum on Sunday noon. It was certainly a pleasant experience as Harley Davidson motorcycles are mostly a dream for anyone who has watched an Undertaker in WWF. The museum offers plenty of free parking. The museum featured many Harley's starting from when the company started its operations in 1903. They have done a pretty good job of preserving their history. The museum also has a souvenir shop where we bought a magnet and postcards. We spent about 2.5 hours in the museum.

Never had a chance to go while I lived here and man did I miss out on it until now. So much history in one place and so much to see. Seeing the older bikes really is something especially when you never get to see them up close ever. The restaurant is delicious and the shops are a must. Go enjoy the history here because it is awesome.

Stopped during our road trip and definitely wish we had had more time to spend here.If you’re a Harley fan, you’re going to want to check this place out. There are a ton of things to do.. shop, eat, ride.. even a museum (which looked awesome but we didn’t have the time to see).Prices were what you would expect, for the most part, for anything Harley.. some good deals to be had at the outlet.Make sure you have a few hours at least to spend here if you go!

Overall experience is very good (much better than Chicago ball parks). Very spacious and lots of food and beverage options. Nice seats as well and pretty clean. Friendly and helpful people all over to help. The Heavenly Roasted Nuts are AMAZING! $9.50 for a large was delicious; we got two! The Custard (ice cream) was very good as well. Always a fun time at the ballpark.

I have to say I thought there would be more unique places to eat here. Besides that the place is massive a lot of waking ground but not too many concession stands. Also I have to say the Minnesota twins had better cheese curds than here in my opinion. Overall a beautiful ball park lots to see and it was so fun to see Bernie slide down the slide.

Absolutely love going to see the Brewers play. Pics and videos aren't the best, but I've been there 4 times this year. Never been there before and I'm 37 years old. Even though we lost 2 out of the 4. It was always a great time! 😁

First time in their suite! This was a 30 person suite and there was more than enough room for at least 40people!!! This suite came with chips, sweets, food, soda, beer and water. It was enough for 28 of us that attended. This suite also cost more than 4K and it does come with a concierge and a private restroom (the best part ever). The room did offer a lot. A couple of my favorite parts of the room was the glass doors that open to sit down on the bleachers/chairs. We did leave the glass doors open and the bleachers/chairs just made the room more enjoyable. Who doesn’t want the fun vibes of chilling on the couch or gaming on the bleachers/chairs?!!! I know I felt them fun vibes!! Overall, it was a fun and exciting experience. I definitely would do it again!!! Thanks a bunch Miller Park!!! 🙌🙌🙌

American Family Field is a nice stadium to watch a baseball game. We had great seats, and they had cup holders. They had fun activities for the kids to practice pitching and hitting. There was also a small playground for the smaller kids near the kids' cafe. It was relatively easy to leave the stadium. It was a little long to enter the stadium, but that was because of a security check.

This is a very nice ballpark to come visit and watch a game. There concessions are pretty standard but good (brats, nachos, sausages, burgers, etc.) with plenty of beer options.The seating feels pretty cramped in the lower sections, so I'd recommend 3rd or 4th deck behind home plate for a little more room. I would not recommend outfield seats, the views are very difficult and the only big screen in the park will be above you.The best parking tip we found was to hit up a bar/restaurant that runs a shuttle to the games. These bar shuttles get parking/traffic protection to help you get to and from the ballpark quickly.

The concert was amazing, but the traffic parking, navigating/signage in the building was definitely frustrating. The AC was not working well either. Might be easier when the headliner (P!nk) isn't breaking attendance records, so we probably pushed the limits.Overall. It was clean, food readily accessible, we got through security easily, and the seating was comfortable. That concert was one of the best I have been to!

Great baseball experience. Bring your gold credit card, no cash accepted. Parking is expensive too. However, the ballpark is tremendous. Great scoreboard and atmosphere. Parking is managed very well when departing. Oh, and eat somewhere else before going to the game. Your gold card will thank you.

A very nice experience. Watching this game there was great for me, been my first time at this field. Cubs didn’t win as we expected but the game was filled with couple home runs from the Milwaukee-Brewers, making that stadium shake with its amateurs/fans.Very organize set up.

As a major concert venue, they pulled off a great show! Preferred parking was clearly identified and pretty easy to get to from any direction. The weather was glorious and we made friends with others around us during our mini tailgate. Not much of a line to get in, and we found our way to the field entrance after noting where to get the wristbands in the welcome email. Plenty of room to move around and mingle in between shows which was a huge bonus. The sound was great! It got louder as the acts got bigger. Video screens were magnificent and were needed because everyone was at the same field level. A raised stage also helped. They could have used a few more port-a-potties on the field, but you could walk back into the general seating area and use those if needed. We waited about an hour to exit and didn’t have to wait too long. Would happily go back for another show.

Great baseball field, great food, nice gift shop and friendly staff. Lots of fun! They have a Sunday Fun Day; 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas and parking $59.

I have never been to any baseball game before. I was so impressed with everything this team and stadium has to offer. Lots for the kids to do and my Autistic son had a blast. More importantly none of the staff or other kids complained or did not let him do them. There was a large crew of Scouts kids there and that may have something to do with the respect and manners from the youth. We had great seats so I am sure that made a difference. My son seemed to be engaged the entire time with everything going on. We made it all 10 innings. When we go to a Packer game he last about 1 quarter. Thank you to the staff for their kindness and willingness to help and safety crew for making us feel safe. I am converted to a “can’t wait to go back” baseball fan!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here at a Brewers game. People working here were very nice. Parking wasn’t as bad as we expected. We enjoyed food as well - cheese curds and sausages. The on field experience and site lines from our seats behind home were great.

What a beautiful ballpark! I did the tour before the game, and the guide was very knowledgeable on the team and field. The Selig Experience gave me goosebumps! I also did the Bernie Slide Experience and was a hoot! We had a group of 5 people riding the slide, and we were able to get in 6 rides! Plus, there was a mini-tour included that was mostly different from the main tour. I highly recommend checking out a game here and taking at least the main tour.

My family and I have been members of the Arboretum for over 10 years! We’ve been able to make so many memories there, it is our go to when out of town guests are visiting and it has been a great educational resource. Our favorite event of the year is Illumination which has become a family tradition. The grounds are amazing and you’ll never run out of new things to do!

Really nice place to walk, relax, ride a bike or just drive and get out and sit. The main entrance has a kids area, gardens, a maze, and plenty of sitting areas. The rest of the park has a lot of trails, sculptures and places to rest. Very clean. Has a gift shop and cafe, i formation center and tram tour service(extra fees). Bathrooms were well taken care of and the staff were all very friendly.

This place is huge. Prepare to do a lot of walking. I loved the Children's Garden which had ton of interactive activities. The maze was fun. The sculptures were very unique. The food in the cafeteria area was not the best. The gift shop had ton of amazing merchandise. I will definitely visit again.

This place is very vibrant during autumn. A lots of activities going on, hiking and trailing are for all ages. You can see trees with different colors and perspective. Definitely we’ll be back next year…

This was the coolest place!! We went for the Illumination which is around Christmas time where they’ve got all the trees lit up and so much more. So many cool light displays!!! Multiple concession stands on the path which include soft or hard drinks. Spiked hot chocolate, YUM! A very cool and unique experience and I can’t wait to come back again! Make sure to check out the breathing tree!

This is a huge and beautiful park that I've visited a couple of times and each time has been a little bit different because of the rotating exhibits and gardens. The walkways are wide and the trees are not densely packed so you will have large open areas with no shade. The west side of the park is much more prone to mosquitoes so prepare yourself if you venture on that side.The art exhibits that are incorporated within the park are absolutely beautiful, and the park is large enough you wouldn't be able to get to everything in a full day there. My only complaint is that the park lacks enough signage so while there are many things to explore, you will get lost trying to find them and/or frequently encounter other lost guests who ask you for directions.

Relaxing, calm, meditative, and a plant diverse place to walk and explore. I love seeing the larger than life garden sculptures, and every time I go I discover a new path. Cross country skiing is accessible and a lot of fun here. The trails provide a nice variety of hills, scenery, and are beginner to intermediate in challenge. The Light Show in the winter is impressive, family friendly, and has a lot of variety in music and type of lights. There is so much to do at the Arboretum including classes and events, so a membership is worth it.

It was fun but better in the summer if you have a picnic or go with a group. Long driving trail (almost an hour) and many walking trails. The special events are worth the trip. Been to the Christmas light show many times.

Love all the sculptures and displays throughout the arboretum. Could spend hours walking among nature. Beautifully kept and lots of trails to explore. Don’t forget your bug spray! Free for members and $5 per guest with a member

September it's beautiful for hiking, we did 6 miles and this place always delivers. Love the trails, maintained well and the art and nature are well incorporated together. Will definitely try to come every month to explore the changes that every season brings in thes place.

The day I was there it was rainy, but I still loved it! Just to drive and see all the beautiful scenery and art sculptures. Learn about the differant trees and plants from the states around that you never saw before was awesome. I can't wait to go back again it's my #1 spot to go again on a short vacation. Beautiful during the fall and blissful during the winter. No matter the season, there's always something to enjoy in this beautiful place. It is great for to hike, run, read, and just enjoy spare time. Their cafe/restaurant offers lots of delicious and healthy food options. This is, overall, just a great place.

Fell in love with this place. If you live in the city it's quite a journey getting there but it's worth it. Tranquil trails, great restaurant and cafe, and the plants are beautiful. My favorite part was the beautiful sculptures and red winged blackbirds. I would recommend bringing water and bug spray, the ticks were out.

Beautiful views, amazing place to spend the day enjoying nature. Definitely wear your walking shoes because this place is huge! Maps are also a must if wanting to find all the human +nature statues, which I feel could have used more directions on the trails. Gift shop had some really cool items though it is on the pricey side, drinks and food on the high end as well, it was $6 for a small hot chocolate ; otherwise would give 5 stars.

Anyone going here for the sculptures in many of the most viewed pictures, the exhibit is sadly over. Fortunately, the exhibits are updated, just have to check their website. Many trails to walk, with paved and wood chip covered trails. A visitor center with food/drink, and lots of areas for children as well. A must see if you're looking for a place to enjoy (easily) a few hours of nature near the Chicago area, and worth the trip to see by itself!

Love the Arboretum. We are members. We got married here so there are many special memories. Love the children's garden and maze garden. Sculptures on display are amazing and add fun to the adventure. Light show in winter is a fantastic event.

Just an amazing place and you need to drive to go to the different areas. There are 5 intriguing sculptures done by a Polish artist and they are amazing. You can get your steps in for the day as you will need a day to see a lot. I loved the labyrinth and we saw a sycamore caterpillar 🐛 there! The gift shop is lovely and well designed.

We enjoyed the short hikes and reading the informational displays along the hiking paths. The scarecrows were displayed along the short Meadow Lake Trail. There were some stalls set up by the visitor center where you can purchase food with tickets. When my kids were younger, they used to enjoy the Children's Garden. In that area, there were many plants in the ground with signs labelling the plants. We enjoyed both the colorful trees and the flowers. We spent four hours walking around the East side and never made it to the West side.

Went for the holiday light show and it was fantastic! Music and lights at night in the Arboretum is a fun event for dates, families, friends and groups. Hot chocolate, coffee and a few cold weather adult beverages add to the experience. Their were also a couple bonfires you could gather around to enjoy. Super friendly and courteous staff throughout the Arboretum.

Last time we went here was when it was a drive through so this time thought there would be more since we were walking. Coolest part was the 6 minute illumination of the trees. But they got rid of the giant chandelier this year which I loved. I do think that could have used more lights especially around the pond. Light up the pathway to go back like you do the parking lot! A lot of areas that you could still light up. Overall we had a beautiful night being outside I. The Arboretum.

I stayed here primarily because it's the closest hotel to the train station. The tub was deep enough that I could soak (I'm 5'10"). I had great nights rest. I wasn't too happy about some of the extra fees they add to your room (~$20+). So add $20 to whatever price you see advertised. I'm not a gambler so I didn't enter the casino.

After being a frequent guest (DIAMOND ELITE LEVEL) at this casino and hotel for more than 2 decades. I really have to re-think going back. I was there on Sunday night and had a horribly embarrassing and humiliating experience at the main casino bar. I approached the bar for a Heineken. Next to me at the bar was a co*cktail server. She called out her order to the bartender and then asked him "did you take a $20 from the bar"? "I'm pretty sure I put a $20 down on the bar". The bartender, Marc, looked her in the face and said "No" The co*cktail server looked at me and there I was standing with a $20 in my hand. She looked at me again and again. Then, the other bartender with dark hair leaned-in toward the co*cktail server and said "do you want me to call surveillance"? She again looked me over and then said "Yes" So...now I know that she thinks the $20 in my hand was stolen from her. People sitting at the bar were looking on as I said to her: "Do you really think I took your money"? She said "Oh, no...I didn't think that" I was the only one within reach of her money with the exception of the bartender that emphatically denied taking it. Surveillance informed them that the bartender, Marc, that said he didn't take it off the bar...did INDEED take it off the bar. Is he very forgetful or a liar that steals money? CLEARLY, the server thought I took her money and others sitting at the bar watch intently at the drama. I was mortified and humiliated beyond measure. i informed my casino host via text of the incident and he apologized and said his boss was informed. I half-expected a call, email or text from someone at Harrah's, but it seems they're perfectly content to have pretend nothing too bad happened. They could have asked for a review from surveillance without the implied accusation that I was a thief and spared me the embarrassment and humiliation. It's not likely I will return to Harrah's or other Caesar's properties. There are too many choices to return where I'm treated so poorly.

Easy in and easy out. Rooms were large and very nice, no smoke smell. Service is excellent at the front desk. Game floor was not crowded and plenty of table games. My $69 room cost me $150.....dang marketing and betting losses! It was worth it, I'll be back.

Terrible, terrible experience. While we were sleeping in our room, we were woken up at 1am by the people who were staying next to us. They were arguing, screaming, and slamming doors continually. This continued on for almost 1.5 hours. In this time, we called down to the front desk asking for security to manage the situation. This just kept continuing and we decided at 2am that we would just go home. We couldn’t sleep with all the screaming and slamming doors. When we went down to the front desk to check out, the woman said that security didn’t get a chance to make it up to the floor to handle the situation. So we paid to stay the night in the hotel and only got to sleep for 2 hours… The staff didn’t seem to care at all.DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The pros are that every staff member was very kind and helpful in the casino and hotel. Our room was pretty big and mostly clean. The bathtub was massive and water pressure was excellent and hot. The sundries shop at the front desk had a wide variety of items you may have forgotten. Lots of affordable restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and parking was simple. When we came in at 10pm to retire for the evening, the lobby smelled like fresh pizza. The cons are that our room's previous occupant left their used coffee bag in the machine and a half pot of stinky burned coffee. Some how, house keeping missed that. There are soap dispensers in the shower for shampoo and body wash but they were topped off with water to appear more full, so they hardly made any suds. Every pop machine we encountered was broken and the ice machine on our floor was not working. Your key card won't allow you to take the elevator to any other floor so we couldn't try other ice machines. And you should expect some late night intoxicated folks on the weekends, hollering in the hallway and waking you up if you turn in early. Overall decent experience.

It's so sad how they treat my husband because my husband has a Defibrillator/pacemaker and was scared to go through metal detectors and told them he had no problem with them hand searching him, they refuse to let him in unless he went through the metal detectors.. I highly recommend if somebody has this kind of disability and is scared to go through metal detectors. I would go to Bally's in Chicago At least they will hand search you and treat you like a guest and not a inconvenience and tell you to leave

The staff was very friendly and attentive, from the casino floor to security to the hotel staff. We got a non-smoking King room and the room was spotless...very clean! The bathroom had a hairdryer that worked!!! The tub was massive... definitely room for 2! Private toilet room, soap/body wash provided, and plenty of towels.The casino gave some, took some away, and then let us walk away with some. New and (best of all) old school slots, a nice variety of dollar, quarter, and penny slots. The tables were open, and there was room to sit at anyone you wanted to.There is a little cafe serving good sandwiches and Starbucks. 2 bar areas w/staff pouring cold beer and stiff drinks.This was our 2nd stay here and we'll be back!

Front desk concierage when we checked in was the least helpful man ever. We asked about Valet parking which they no longer have. I then had to pull teeth to figure out where to park. Room is spacious, and very warm. Air conditioning has one setting and DOES not work. Bedding. Pillows are lumpy, sheets are scratchy. I could hear them crinkle us. For 250 a night, complete rip off.

Stayed here for a show at the Rialto Theater. It was a quick two block walk to the show. The room was a king, and was very spacious. It was also quiet given the street and river traffic out the window. The best the best thing was the bathroom. The tub was huge, great water pressure, and a lot of hot water. The stool was closed off in its own separate. We did pay $15 for early check in, as we showed up around 2:00 pm and check in is at 4:00 pm

What happened to this casino??!! It's dead up in here feels like being at a bingo hall... You guys have to do something else to bring the excitement back here once again or just shut this place down. Too big of wasted space for this cemetery they want to call a casino

Gambling is what it is...a risk you take; but at least LIVEN this place up!!! Compared to Rivers this place feels like work, not as bad as Hollywood but very close. Pump some good music through the place, get the crowd jumping, have more fiery give aways, be more creative! Joliet should be a place people from Chicago and Indiana should want to take a drive to; a fun hot spot! More winning not a repast.

Some rooms need updating (ours didn't this time), coffee pots need deep cleaning or how 'bout replacing them. Very comfortable couch and bed, we had a great night sleep. Brought beers, vodka, bloody mary mix for a great morning 😉 watching football games in our room is fun when you come prepared as we did. Our munchies include chips crackers cheese and spanish style antipasto 😋 Have fun and enjoy your stay!!

Phenomenal Management. Willy is one of the rare gems in this world. The way he handled my reservation error was accommodating when I needed it. Rochelle was also very attentive and welcoming. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my stay and the service of the staff

I enjoy the location here. It was my first time. Pizza is good. The casino floor is open in new slots. Parking free across the street. The room was nice. Spacious, and the air conditioning was super cold. Bed was comfortable as well. The best thing about my experience was the front desk supervisor, Tanya. She was absolutely a sweetheart and caring exceptional customer service. She is very knowledgeable and she was very helpful at everything. She is a rare worker these days. She should be promoted, and her skillset and passion for her job would add great value for her organization. Just the overall customer service level. I was going to 4 star rate. I'm a very honest reviewer, but my interactions with her she went above and beyond, so it's 5 stars across the board!!!! Fantastic

Very clean casino. Have stayed at the hotel a few times and the rooms are NEVER that clean. Last time there was toiletries left from the previous guests with opened coffee bags. This time, there was dried up toothpaste in the sink and hairs in the shower. Luckily we were only there for 1 night so I waited to shower when I got home to my clean shower. Don't really recommend the hotel AT ALL but the casino is great and very clean.

Dated hotel with a casino attached. Our room was nice and very open. Lots of space. I looked at past reviews to note the regular rooms were not great, so I upgraded to the premium 'river view' room.Like I stated, the room was nice. The view was OK. Yes we saw the river but we also had a great look at the pawn shop next door. Hmmmm....We did not eat at this location.It was within walking distance to the Forge.I wasn't very happy with the service. All 4 handicapped spots were taken and we were told to park across the street. Very convenient for a handicapped with luggage.

We attended a Holiday party here for my husband's workplace get together. The Italian food was pretty good for being banquet style and at a Casino.

This is a good park. However, the visitor center and trails nearby can be very busy on weekends. We had to park in overflow parking and hike in.We had much better luck heading east to the other parking lots away from the main area.Huge rock formations and tons of places to explore. My kids loved it but we saw many frustrated parents trying to us a stroller. If you have someone to lift a stroller up and down stairs, it won’t be bad but overall the park is NOT stroller friendly.Beautiful bluff and great photo ops.There are lots of little places where the trail is not clearly my defined and you can go exploring a little.The staff was great and all the facilities were clean. There is nice restaurant and lodge if you need a bite to eat or place to rest.

What an amazing place to hike! The canopy keeps it very cool. I came early (6:45am) on a week day and did not see anyone until after 9am. Very cool to see the different Canyons and elevations along the hike. The stairs are no joke! It’s a moderate hike but lots of cool stops to see along the way, including waterfalls!

What an incredible and beautiful state park! Might be the prettiest place I’ve been to in Illinois, it’s such a nice break from the city and it’s not a super far drive. The trails are very easy and beginner friendly, there are some steep staircases and a few uneven parts of path but mostly flat trails. I will say that if you are expecting to see waterfalls, you should go 1-2 days after a big rain storm otherwise they’ll probably all be dry, especially during the middle of the summer. I also recommend going early, even if it’s on a weekday. We got there at about 10:30 and it wasn’t super busy, but by the time we got back from hiking around 1:30 it was insanely crowded, and hiking is a lot more fun in my opinion when it’s empty. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting here on a day trip, I can’t wait to return myself!!

We arrived early and saw St. Louis Canyon before the crowds arrived. We had lunch in the visitor center, which was decent. After lunch we started out to see the eastern part of the trails.The trails were very well marked and maintained. We covered west as far as St. Louis Canyon and east as far as Wildcat Canyon in about 18,000 steps on our step counter. There are a lot of stairs! The canyons are well worth the hike. We would like to return in the Spring when the falls are at their fullest.

Located about an hour and half away from Chicago. This is a good place for hiking. In the spring and summer you’ll be able to see waterfalls up close. If you come in the winter, you’ll see like a winter wonderland because some of the waterfalls will be frozen and covered in snow. They have paved paths which makes things easier. Adequate amount of parking. You can pack a lunch and sit in the main picnic area. There is a visitor center with restrooms.

Wonderful place, we have been seeing signs for this place for years and finally got to come and see it. The ice was just melting and it was a little muddy but man what a great place. Good walk ways great views of waterfalls and a historic place. This place has it all. Even the girl in gift shop was helpful.

We visited Starved Rock December 10 2022. We stayed at Getaway which is about 20 min away for the weekend. Overall, our experience at this state park was excellent. The trails are well maintained even in the late fall. We hiked for about 4 miles seeing the river views and the canyon views over about 2.5 hours. It is difficult to navigate a stroller/wheelchair along most of the trails in this state park so I recommend getting information ahead of time if you need accessibility. The features and varied topography were amazing; we will definitely return here again. About half of the hike we took was along a wooden or paved path. There are a lot of stairs, many more than they explain. Be prepared to go up and own more than 9 flights over the course of your hike. We had mild weather at about 40 degrees overcast with little wind. Its a great time of year to hike if you don't mind cold weather!

It is very peopley here. I did go on a weekend and expected it to be more populated but WOW. It’s not a holiday weekend thing, this is a popular place and local attraction that tons of people in the Midwest come to see (some even further) Either way, if you can stand bumping elbows every now and then it’s not too bad. It is very pretty. There are a lot of stairs on some of the trails. Definitely bring some water!!

I have a special fondness for this state park as it's a great place for outdoor activities. During our visit, we trekked for 3 hours, exploring both the Wildcat Canyon and the La Salle Canyon. Although there aren't any waterfalls in the summer, the hike remains incredibly enjoyable.

Great hike! It has quite a few stairs on different trails, but we had lots of fun. The visitor center has a nice food court, and you can get ice cream too. The camping ground is great! We stayed in a shaded camp, great for keeping it cool during the warm days. Great place for star gazing of you stay in the no shade campsites.

I have lived in Illinois since 2007 and wanted to visit Starved Rock so bad. November 19,23 is the first time I have had the pleasure of visiting and I was so glad I did. It was a wonderful time. There's lots of stairs so bring water and even a snack. There's a gift shop with super cute items in it. I want to go back because it was such a great time.

Nice place to hike! 13 miles altogether on the hiking trails. Went after a slight snow and it was beautiful! Lots of wooded paths. Very well marked and maps. Nice visitor center with restrooms and refreshments. Waterfall is super cool. Several lookout points overlooking the IL river and lock/dam. Dogs welcome! Everyone here was very friendly. Second time hiking here and will return again!

Nice big park. Trails for hiking an a big waterfront for fishing or watching the boats. There was a picnic area an boat dock just down from the visitor center area. Port a John's there for when the center isn't open. We did the st Louis canyon trail.. beautiful spot. We saw cliff swallows flying around the top of the canyon. That was neat!!

Tremendous park and trails, amazing campground facility as well five minutes up the road. We hiked four of the trails and loved the clean landscape, variations in altitude, and river and woodland views.Staff are attentive and care greatly for the park.The campground is amazingly clean and quiet. Bathrooms are typical camp baths.A really fun weekend for the family with plenty of fresh air and exercise.

What a great state park to hike around and explore. The visitors center was clean and inviting. There is a little place to grab some treats and food called the trailhead.There had been little rainfall around the time we were there so sadly the waterfalls were not flowing 😞 the trails were well marked and the YOU ARE HERE maps were placed all over.Definitely a state park to add to your bucket list!

Beautiful scenery in the state park along with decently maintained trails. In some parts there have been a few steps sticking out in odd places where rain has washed it away. Besides that, it is a very well maintained park. I easily spend 2-3 hours here. It’s a huge park to explore!

Beautiful park to see the fall colors. Lots of hiking trail, the trail to LaSalle canyon has beautiful fall colors, restrooms are clean. Parking is easy during early hours, trail gets crowded later during the day. Would recommend.

We went when the waterfalls were dry so I was kind of disappointed but still had a good time. Spent over 3 hours walking the trails and enjoying the sites of nature. Very beautiful park. Loved the canyons and the views of the dam. Will definitely be back when waterfall season hits up again.

Starved Rock is a great state park for visitors to check out. It has pretty easy hiking so it's great for kids. Parking can be difficult sometimes in the summer as it's a popular place. It can also get a little crowded at certain times. My kids really like going and it's easy to let them wander because the paths are mainly boardwalks with railings and/or easy to follow. This park is dog friendly and, as all State Parks in Illinois, has a leash law. There are also cabins that you can rent and a hotel with a restaurant and pool. The fudge in the gift shop is a must. This is a great place for family photos and wedding photos. Have fun.

Beautiful place to bring kids and family. This place is a challenging hike that will push the inner athlete in you. Even though it's beautiful, don't underestimate this park at all not for the faint of heart.

Beautiful little gardens feels very authentic. There. There are lots of little spots off the path where you can sit and just enjoy the serene beauty. Highlights include the little buildings themselves that are very oriental and make and seem quite authentic. Unfortunately these gardens are quite small and for $11 entry it almost is a little too expensive. It's more like a $5 entertainment for maybe an hour maybe an hour maybe an hour maybe an hour Max

Incredible Japanese garden tucked into a suburban area of Rockford. One of the most beautiful, well maintained, and thoughtful gardens I have been to in a long time. Full of amazing little areas to discover. There is also a restaurant on site and an amazing gift shop selling all kinds of cool Japanese items including snacks. This place is well worth a visit even if you have to go out of your way a bit. The craftsmanship and care is incredible. Admission is 13 dollars for adults.

Enjoyed feeding the fish and birds, the gardens were breathtaking, and the buildings were so nice. There was a lot of musty smell to the buildings, but they were absolutely gorgeous. I loved the little hidden gems, too.

We visited on the last weekend of October and had a wonderful time. The grounds were well-maintained and there was lots to see and experience. The map was helpful since it was our first visit. There are frequent benches and seating areas which makes the route as peaceful and restful as you want it to be. We spent about an hour and half strolling the gardens. I will say, drinks at the coffee bar near the restaurant were super overpriced and serves in an unprofessional way, but everything else was top notch!

The organizational flow in the garden is very efficient. There was a shortage on parking, so extra parking lots were sourced from the area, with two shuttle going back and forth all day long.The restaurant offers a fair variety of foods and drinks, that were really great! Little events were staged all afternoon, and some were really educational, apart from the entertaining aspects and soothing live Japanese instrumental music. The garden itself, though not styled to present many flower types, was full of exquisite greenery, calming areas, flowing streams, waterfalls and ponds. lending itself to peaceful, contemplative states of mind.We were also able to purchase beautiful kimonos and garments for men and women.A full experience that we will return to, for certain!

Totally worth the time to stop by here. The gardens are lush and well-tended and it makes for a nice outing with anyone, or all by yourself. The attached restaurant is quite nice and delicious though a bit pricy and there’s a gift store you can get some interesting things in.

This is a hidden gem out in the suburbs. Located in Rockford which is quite a drive from the Chicago area. Tickets for an adult are $11-13. I only came here once just because of the distance but I wouldn’t mind coming back in the summer. They have alluring, breathtaking waterfalls here and koi in the ponds. Just a reminder, this place is for relaxing and being stress free. They do have a restaurant but I didn’t eat there. On their online menu, I noticed it’s not very Japanese oriented. Parking is sufficient, it doesn’t really get busy here.

These gardens are absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained! I highly recommend visiting here as well as the nearby Laurent House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright). This was my first visit, and I would love to come back in the spring to see everything in bloom.

Garden was beautiful. It is not the biggest garden out there, but definitely worth the visit. The gift shop has a nice variety of items. The walking trail is great, and having certain parts handicap accessible is a plus. Make sure you buy some fish food to feed the fish and ducks, it's a fun experience to have.

It's been over 10 years since I visited Anderson Gardens and it's just as lovely as I remembered. The volunteers in the garden were helpful and the gift shop was filled with items ranging from tea sets to candies and treats that your anime loving friend would enjoy.Despite the heat and lack of significant rainfall everything looked great and there was plenty of areas to get out of the sun.

It is an excellent place for relaxation with the family. If you are a fitness conscious individual, you will definitely get your steps here while enjoying nature.If you plan on staying for a couple of hours and you'll hit lunchtime, try to eat first before strolling so you won't have to join the crowd at the cafe during lunch hour. They have good food at a reasonable price. Expect to spend at least $20-$25/person for food.Once you are energized after a visit to their cafe, you are ready to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We had a lovely afternoon visiting the Capitol building for one of the free tours! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we saw a ton of badgers along the way! The building is magnificent, especially with the Christmas tree and holiday decorations up! The holiday choir was performing as an added plus. Don’t miss the observation deck under the rotunda for even cooler views!

This building is so beautiful. They offer free guided tours and I definitely recommend going on one. Our guide was able to take us to places we didn't know about, told us all kinds of interesting facts, and was really friendly. I had no idea we could go up to the observation tower, or that there was a small museum up there! So much fun for free!

This is an absolutely gorgeous building, I haven't had a single moment I walked into the Capitol Building and it hasn't felt like the first time. The details are all absolutely perfect and if you're able to pet the nose of the Badger outside the Governor's office, please do! They also offer FREE tours during the weekdays along with being able to go up to the observation deck!

What a unique place! I discovered quite a bit of United States history here. And the paintings are beautifully painted. Lots of architecture to take a look at. And plenty of bathrooms on every floor. If you're looking for a place to sit down, there are leather chairs outside the supreme court courtroom on the second floor, in addition to benches outside the Capitol itself

Insanely beautiful building, gorgeous stone throughout. My family decided to go on the free tour. Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. My husband uses a wheelchair frequently when going out, and this gentlemen let us know where to go to meet and always made sure we were at the right elevator to rejoin the group. He was very very knowledgeable and informative. The observation deck was outstanding as well, definitely recommended going up there

The architecture of this state capitol building is nothing short of impressive! The design of both the exterior and interior was stunning, and the view from the observation deck is excellent! The best place inside the capitol building to stand and take pictures is at the very center right underneath the dome. This is a must see when you’re visiting Madison!

This place is as gorgeous and interesting to explore as it is important to our state. Marble from floor to ceiling, some imported and not without stories! Take the guided tour and they'll tell you all about it! The capital is extremely impressive, every detail is meticulous. It is a state treasure! Coming in at $7.2 million dollars back in the early 1900s. This is a must see if you are visiting Madison, WI.

I love that you can come in and look around for free. I highly recommend going to the top and taking a look outside. There are stairs leading to the very top after you take an elevator to the 4th floor. Public restrooms available inside as well. During the holiday season they have a beautiful tree lit up with children’s ornaments. It’s beautiful. Definitely worth checking out!

The Capitol building was the most beautiful building that I have seen it was very big and wide, ayo. And the inside of the Capitol was very nice and had lots of pictures of religious images.

Capitol building of Wisconsin state is open from 8 am till evening. Open for public . No entry fee. Architectural work is amazing. Grandeur is visible once you enter inside.Very well maintained and clean interior as well as exterior.

Several times I've wanted to stop here but just didn't have a lot of time. Finally had a chance to take a stroll around the perimeter. It's an interesting capitol building where you're not quite sure where the front is (maybe there is none). There was some renovation going on but nothing too bad. We were able to find street pay parking immediately but one with a very short time limit.

The state capital building is phenomenal.I enjoyed the magnificent views with an amazing architecture. The ceiling, interior design with huge pillars and with vintage ceiling equipment can't make our eyes even to give a blink

Free and open to the public. During December there is a big Christmas tree with ornaments from school children throughout the state that is fun to see! The architecture is fantastic.

I love this little zoo!! It's on the smaller side, but there are plenty of animals to visit. The updates and expansions they've done over the past few years to the enclosures have been great to see. It's a free zoo, but always still plan to bring a donation, because of course taking care of all these beautiful creatures is not free!

We visited in May before the season started. The zoo wasn't very crowded. Some of the animals were not visible, but it was a nice day for a walk anyway. Depending on the time of year, time of day, feeding schedule, and sleeping times, it's not always possible to see all the animals in most zoos. The Henry Vilas Zoo could perhaps be considered a mid-size zoo, and that is an advantage, making the zoo easy to navigate, and not exhausting to explore. There seem to be plenty of friendly staff assisting visitors and caring for the animals. Visiting the zoo is free, but donations are welcome.

This zoo is free. Is a smaller zoo. We had fun although not too many active animals. Would be a better option in summer when more activities are open.

We love coming to this zoo. It's the perfect size for little kids to be able to walk and not get too worn out. It's nice in the winter too, if you bundle up and it's not too cold you can still have a great experience. The lions are often active and roaring. The polar bear is very active and likes to swim. There is a family of 5 otters to see too. We miss being able to go into the monkey and reptile area that has been closed to the public since COVID started. In the summer time the playground is open and is a great place to run around and play.

I was glad to see that they have more animals now, there's more places to eat/snack inside the zoo. Last time we were here(6 yrs) they were doing some construction and they didn't have a lot of animals. We all had a great time. My personal favorite was the tiger. There is no fee to enter the zoo, they just ask for a donation. The parking lot is small so I would recommend going early. You can also park on the street around the park.

Henry Villas Zoo is definitely one of the best zoos in Wisconsin. First of all, it's FREE. Yes, you read that correctly. There's no cover charge. The exhibits are well laid out and there are some pretty unique and amazing creatures here. Our favorites are the orangutan family (and a baby orangutan, she's so adorable!!), Tiger, lions, rhinoceros, giraffe, polar bear, otters, anaconda, and MORE! The park isn't excessively large & is well laid out. There's an amazing kids plaza area (seriously, it's incredible). The store is a must see and definitely purchase some stuff to help them keep up the park and superb animal care.

We always have an absolutely great time at this zoo. There us a wide array of animals, as well as a few buildings with other animals. Wonderful playground and children's zoo. There were lots of baby animals when we went today. Also Joe near the exit at guest services was THE NICEST person ever. My kids loved interacting with him and getting a stamp

Really nice zoo. We went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded. If recommend going early in order to find parking. The animals seemed well cared for and appeared to have appropriate enrichment and good conditions, as well as places to escape the crowds. I would definitely visit again and enjoyed this zoo significantly more than many of the highly recommended commercialized zoos in the country. The zoo staff were friendly and knowledgeable as well.

My family and I travel quite a bit and have been to many zoo's, with that being said I didn't have high expectations for this zoo - especially since it's free. I was seriously so impressed, it is one of the cleanest zoos I have been to! It's not huge, but it's a perfect size for my kiddos to manage without being exhausted. There's a good variety of animals and all enclosures are well maintained and clean. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend it!

Nice place to visit during weekend. Lots of animals. Kids will enjoy for sure. There is no entry fee. But you can donate at the entrance for your visit. Rhino, giraffe, tiger and lion were very active during our visit.

If you want to have a nice little walk around a beautiful park with the family and see some animals while doing so this is a great place to go. It's small but quaint with a nice variety of animals and plenty of fun things for your little ones to do. Entrance is free which is another plus. Only issue was parking which is why I gave it a 4 star rating.

This Zoo has a surprisingly good selection of animals and exhibits for a free to public zoo. The weather was a little cool that day, but it seemed to have been favorable to most of the animals, too. I wanted to give it 5 stars because for a free zoo (they do take donations), they do a good job overall with the animals and exhibits. The only thing that seemed it could be better was some basic maintenance here and there, especially with cleaning up the glass on some of the exotic animal exhibits. This is a great little getaway for half a day or so with the family or just anyone who appreciates the animals and nature. I'd love to see what they could do with this place should the city pump some money into the zoo. You'd think with all those taxes in the Madison area, they could put some of it to use for the public by investing in public spaces like the zoo. Overall, I definitely recommend this place, and they have some land and picnic tables out by the parking lots as well, so pack a lunch or snacks it's a great little half day or so getaway.

This zoo is just the right size for a day trip. Very manageable to navigate and see a wide variety of animals. The only place it gets crowded is inside the reptiles exhibit. The primates building is probably the highlight especially if you are able to catch the monkeys playing.I would recommend coming through the back entrance that is on Vilas Park Drive. Much more available parking back there.

Having traveled all over the USA, coming back to Madison has showed me how great this zoo really is. Not only is it free, but it is clean, friendly, and fun for the family. The animals all look happy, healthy, and taken care of with clean enclosures. For a free zoo… this zoo is a must see when you come to Madison!

Very nice layout and decent amount of animals that we saw for the zoo's size. Wished the avian flu outbreak wasn't around which quarantined all their birds but we did get a glimpse of the Flamingos.Recommend for all ages.

KIDS LOVE THIS ZOO!It’s a nice place to look at wild animals in the wilderness. Lots of animals and fun for the little ones. They have carousel, playground and train as part of many other activities. We had a wonderful time here.

This is such a unique place to visit, both the home and the other buildings. The original house is full of interesting architecture and a mix of interior design elements I haven't seen combined like this anywhere else.The other sections host a variety of collections, giant automated musical performance displays, whimsical scenery, and a lot of near-magical surprises. Like my personal favorite since I was little, the indoor carousel.If you want to see all three sections arrive at least 3 hours before closing time.

Some are saying it's the Versailles palace of Wisconsin. Super fun way to spend an after. A good amount of walking, but well worth it. So many rooms and cool collections. You could easily go back 10+ times and notice something new each time. A great hidden gem is Wisconsin. If people come to visit and want to do something unique, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I went in with expectations and they were blown away within the first hour. I went on a weekend and while it was busy I definitely didn't feel like I was waiting/navigating around people. Definitely not a friendly place for wheel-bound persons as some areas are straight up inaccessible without using the stairs. I was offered coins in the beginning but I declined because the lady just described them as 'music boxes' when in reality some of the operated entire automaton rooms so that was disappointing, although it appears that multiple did not work anyways. The place is well kept and while some areas have an odor I feel like the overall state of the place fits the atmosphere. It feels antique but lived in and loved. I will definitely come back many more time. The gift shop hardly has anything that relates to the location, and what they do have isn't very attractive/well made.

When walking into this home turned attraction, you are greeted by a man with devil horns. This is by no means what to expect in your experience here. The house was absolutely amazing, how well it all flowed and yet still had a lot of craziness from a creative mind. I could only imagine what it would have been like back in it's early years to actually be a party guest here and see how all of the spaces and rooms were actually used.Very fun experience, will most likely return or at least recommend it for something to do.

I have visited the House on the Rock probably 6 or 7 times over the last 40 years. Every time I go it is even more spectacular. There is so much to see and everything is so very interesting. It is great for both kids and adults. If you are looking for a memorable family outing, this is the place to go.

This was my second trip to The House on The Rock. I consider it a must-see attraction and I'm not one for tourist attractions. No words or photos can explain the magnitude of the impact this place will have. I have been telling people about it for years after having seen it the first time and my partner and I have discussed it for hours on end since visiting this last time. Couple of got tips: she's dark, musty and dusty so don't head out there expecting pristine museum vibes. This is not kid- friendly due to it being a HUGE place that takes at minimum 3 hours to get through- the kids we saw were bored and running around like crazy for entertainment. Definitely plan to buy $3-5 worth of tokens- the musical contraptions are worth the spend.

This is worth a visit if you’re in the area or you just want to have a day trip. It’s about $36 if you want to do the ultimate experience in the regular season. I went during the regular season. There are 3 sections plus the Japanese garden. They also have a place inside if you want to grab food. It’s a huge collection of different items. You’ll see a giant sea creature, a carousel with 20,000 lights and 269 animals, and an infinity room. Plan to spend 3.5-4 hrs here if you want to look at everything. It was busy not crowded.

A must see. So many amazing robitcs. Huge displays. A full house within a rock. This place is amazing best kept secret. Museum of unique items and displays. Could spend hours in this place. Small cafeteria in the middle with great pizza.

Great place to check out with lots of unique items and things all collected and put in one location for everyone to see. Highlights of the trip would probably include the whale, the carousel, the infinity room,(provided you don't mind heights) the Japanese garden, as well as other rooms with many treasures to be seen, and it is even worth your while to check out the bathrooms on your way though as some have hidden treasures as well that are easily missed. Only bad thing is a very large museum and requires a lot of walking, so plan on almost a full day on your feet if you want to see it all!

The house on the rock is still a cool interesting place to visit. I used to go as a kid and have fond memories.So many cool automated instruments! This is fun to watch.. you can't help but wonder how they did it. My kids had fun sitting on all the fuzzy couches and benches.The gallery with the whale and giant octopus is pretty fantastic. We enjoyed the gardens. they aren't super large which the kids appreciated.All in all a pretty good time. We bought the ultimate pass online and spent between 4 and 5 hours there. The place is full of curiosities and collections so get ready to see thousands of objects!There is a place to eat in the middle. My kids liked the hot dogs but would not eat the pizza. It's food but not the best. Next thing I will try to have a big meal first.Two critiques:Take this for what it is but some of the items seem like they do not get the maintenance they require or have collected so much dust. A few times we used tokens and things were partially our completely broken.There are a number of culturally insensitive items.. and pretty appropriative displays. I was finding myself explaining these things to my kids a lot.. even the use of whale bones and ivory. I think we are at a point in history where this deserves recognition. But I do appreciate talking about those things with my little people.

One of the coolest experiences ever! We spent 4 1/2 hours walking through the whole thing, because there was so much to look at. I was in awe with all of the collections and art pieces, and plan on going back to see things I missed! It was fascinating talking to the workers to further the learning of the history of the buildings. Everyone was very kind and the scenery was fabulous.

Pretty cool place. Make sure you leave enough time. Lots of walking: ramps, stairs, narrow passageways. What a fascinating collection. Carousel is not rideable, just so your kids aren't disappointed like mine were!

Amazing collection of eccentric things from doll houses to guns to a car covered in tile. There are musical exhibits that play all on their own and the 2 story carousel was fantastic. Some of the rooms are 3 stories high with walls of collections all neatly housed and displayed. The amount of time and effort is amazing. The doll houses all have little lights in them so you can see everything inside. The sheer size of some of the displays is just incredible. It took about 3 hours to walk through the entire place. Once you’ve completed the walk through you can spend some time in the Japanese garden too.

This place is the best place to go visit in the whole United States if you want to see some interesting and wild collections.I went I was a teenager about 30 years ago and couldn't wait to go back as an adult! I felt like a kid again and was excited about the instruments that play on their own.For about $35.00 to see this huge collection is well worth the price.I look at this attraction like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory 🏭.You don't be disappointed!

This was my first visit to The House on The Rock. We were there for the Christmas Experience. This place is very interesting. You never know what you'll see. It's also pretty creepy at times, so be forewarned. Additionally, if you're not a fan of old things and buildings, this is not the place for you. It's like a creepy old grandma house times 1000. It smells old, too. It's worth visiting at least once, because you'll likely never see anything like it again

This place is so amazing! I went when I was a kid and finally got to bring my kids. It's a lit of walking but you can have food and drinks on the premises. And there are lots of benches and rest stops. It is a must see place!

I don’t know where to start…fortunately you will because there’s plenty of signage! Amazing place, a must see when in the area. By far the most interesting attraction in Wisconsin! Just be sure to give yourself at least 6 hours to see and enjoy. There are a few cafe areas, one was open, which is nice since we were 3 hours in and only halfway through. Definitely take your time, soak it all in!

The House on the Rock is a "must see" for any eclectic/vintage collector at heart! The complete tour included the whole property that took at least 3.5 hours which I highly recommend! Make sure you get tokens to play the music anamatronics throughout the property!

This is truly an amazing and weird place! I am glad we went as an outing with my Dad who had never been although he has lived in WI for over 50 years. There are things to know before going: it is very cold (and I am rarely cold) so bring a sweater or jacket. Also it is a lot of walking, ramps and steps. My father had a hard time of it (being 80+) and we missed a lot of the house trying to find the fastest way out. Even as they point you to the fastest way out you have to do a lot of walking on ramps that wind around (Ada compliance maybe) so it still takes another 15Min of walking to exit. Knee replacements, hip replacements, or just weak cardio vascular systems will make this a less fun experience for some. It was for me as I was worried about my Dad. Also the only hot beverage they serve in the cafe is really bad hot chocolate. No coffee or cider or tea. I wanted to give this 5 stars but I can’t for the reasons above. Maybe you could do the house in two separate days. There is certainly enough to see!

We have been here before but this was our first time coming when it has been decorated for Christmas. Definitely worth the visit. A bit bummed sections are closed during the Christmas experience, but it's not like they don't tell you that in advance. Really fun how much the place is changed with so many Christmas decorations everywhere!

There is an unbelievable amount of things to see here that it is likely you won't see everything! They were not kidding on the website when they said the tour could take up to 4 hours! We made it in about 3 hours because we were absolutely exhausted from visiting Devil's Lake State Park just a few hours earlier! This place is magnificent and so very worth every penny to tour it! The endless sights are overwhelming to a point and you kinda leave the place stunned! Don't get me wrong, this IS good! You wanna leave with this buzz of excitement thinking, "what did I just do" or "what did I just see?" The whole experience is just that...an experience! It is definitely one you should! This place is a treasure to the man who helped create it, Alex Jordan! There are plenty of pics online so I'm only going to show a few but seeing is believing! You got to see this place! A great family outing!

Great place to visit if you're a fan of American Pickers, it's very clean and neat because they still film new episodes there. I like their t-shirts & stickers, staff was very polite and evenly told me about Franks recovery progress.I will be back soon,LaClaire is a beautiful little town on the Mississippi River.

Hubs was wishing more of the big items were for sale, but all in all it was a fun excursion! Loved the Nashville shop and so glad we finally made it to Le Claire!

It's a cool stop if you're a Pickers fan. Expect it to be set up more like a mini museum and gift shop. We'd already been to the Nashville location and knew what to expect. There's something extra special about coming to the original location in LeClaire. Some employees were just stocking merchandise, but a few were very knowledgeable and could answer questions about some unique items.

The newer building is mostly souvenirs. The older building is more like a museum with most "cool" things being not for sale. Still fun to see just once.

The store is literally 5-10 minutes off the interstate and very easily accessible. This is a TELEVISION SHOW location! There are souvenirs for the show and some items they’ve picked that are for sale. If you are looking to pick through lots of rusty gold go do what Mike & Frank do… this is more of an homage to the show which I enjoyed immensely with my 7 year old daughter.

Nice that it was open on Sunday for a friend from Minnesota out visiting. He loved the motorcycles.

It was neat to see many of the items that they have picked on the shows! The larger facility was not open to the public when I went due to shooting part of the show but the smaller shop was so quaint. The staff were super helpful and friendly!

This was fun! Love all the motorcycles and sci fi items they have for sale, reasonably priced. Le Claire is a beautiful town!

Fantastic co*cktails and a tour to boot! The tour guide is incredibly knowledgeable about spirits, and history of spirits which added a nice touch to our experience. Samples at the end!We enjoyed a couple rounds from the co*cktail menu, and nothing disappointed. Highly recommend just about everything in the menu. One in our party stated it was the "best damn chocolate martini she's ever had ".Ya'll, the bourbon and the hellfire vodka are worth the visit!

Fantastic place. We went about 2 hours before close. Not a lot of people in there but enough to have fun. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by Lexy. We perused the menu and I ordered a smoked old fashioned. My wife didn’t know what to have and Lexy suggested a co*cktail that she liked. Both drinks were amazing. It was definitely the best old fashioned I’ve ever had. I then wanted to try their gin, and Lexy suggested 50 shades of your mom. Lexy wins again. Smelled EXACTLY like a lemon shake-up. Tasted so good I limited myself to one because I think I could have tried to drink 30 of them. The .5 oz flights of spirits are great for sampling without committing to one you may not like (but they’re all great so that won’t happen) We had an awesome time chatting at the bar with Lexy and I absolutely would come back here again!

We enjoyed the tour of the distillery with Richard. He is knowledgeable and approachable. The bar keep were friendly and offered suggestions. The seating area was comfortable but the majority of the tables are too high for an individual using a wheelchair; everything else was accessible.

Blaum Bros. has amazing beverages. Each one I tried was very good. I was pleasantly surprised by the Hellfyre vodka- it wasn’t one I would have tried if I had been given it on the tour and I ended up loving it. Dennis the tour guide was great! He was informative and friendly. I appreciate that kids are welcome. Mark the cat was a hit on the tour. The signature drinks at the bar were delicious. The facility is clean and very nice.

This is my second time at Blaum Bros. The staff is always friendly and there is just a good vibe there. They added a lot of new games and decor. Wish I lived closer because this would be my go-to place!

Stopped in here with a group of friends on my wife's birthday weekend. To say the least this place didn't disappoint. Delicious drinks served by both knowledgeable and attentive bartenders for an affordable price. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and quick to answer any question we may had. Our battender explained the drinks in question and offered advice in regards wo which ones we'd probably like based on our normal drinking habits. We all tried several different drinks and even came up with a few of our own. My absolute favorite though was one that was made with their very own Hellfyre Vodka and blood orange... We all had such a good time and we're already planning a return trip in the near future.

It's really nice, comfortable seating in an upscale vibe establishment. The drinks were a decent pour. Try it!

Gary was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed the tour. We had a couple drinks and they were good. My husband enjoyed watching them smoke his old fashioned drink. The bartenders are knowledgeable and gave me good recommendations.

We went to Galena for a quick weekend getaway and signed up for a tour at Blaum Bros. Fun atmosphere and very cool bar area! Gary, our tour guide was so friendly and made it so much fun! Very fascinating process to see! And we had some really good drinks! Highly recommend stopping here if ever in Galena!

This place is really nice between the rooms and casino. I believe her name was Connie at player services but she was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. All staff greeted me and were very nice. Highly recommend this place even if its just for the hotel. The casino however does seem to have high payouts compared to most casinos.

Clean, very laid back. NO smoke smell- (definitely a plus!!!!!) Machines paid pretty well.

We were very impressed with this casino. The rooms were clean and very good-sized. All the staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂 The food was very good. Friday fish fry was very good, cod done to a tea. The salmon was some of the best I have tasted 😋 The casino is smoke-free, and we were able to play the slots. The slots allowed us to play and get some bonus. We were all happy we stayed here. Definitely will be back.

Buffet was sad for a price 30.00 meal. Prime rib overcook, Soup was disgusting coagulated half cooked prefab mess . The chicken was overcooked, the serve staff(not wait staff) was overstressed and undermanned- It was ridiculous. I felt sorry for them. Half of the food items offered were empty or dried out and often mislabeled. I was a waiter at one time so I can give them a break but come on Bally's get your act together. One thing positive to say they finally added so low sugar desert options which should have been present from the get go considering they clientele often were older and likely more often than not have dietary concerns including diabetes. This is why they got a two star and not a one.

First they sent us to a room that the key didn't work. Maintenance came up and got us into the room. Ten minutes later they called saying they put us in the wrong room. Moved us to an identical room on another floor. Said they reserved the room to someone else the following day. It was identical room on a different floor. Then climate control only put out cold air. Wall paper was peeling off. Handle on restroom door was ready to fall off. Shower was great. Priced to high

We ate buffet and played slots. Not overly impressed with anything or any staff. Waitress in buffet was the only one friendly. No valet, old people need that, cold or hot! Parking has always been awful there. The 2 minute competition games were very unorganized to a stranger and the 2 girls running it tried to ignore me asking where and what to do. They were busy talking together and laughing. People in line were more helpful. Sorry to complain as I love to have fun!

Went here for anniversary. Was really not impressed. The buffet closed at 5 on Sunday. The sports bar was nice for a quick bite. Our waitress was awesome, wish I could remember her name. Slots were very tight

I didn't have too good of an experience. In the time I spent there I did not see very any people "winning". I understand its gambling but out of everyone there during the time I was most casinos would of shown some significant wins. But I didn't see a single hand pay or even heard about anyone getting g a big win. Now that doesn't mean it didn't happen but it explained why there wasn't as many people ther. For the amount I played I should of had more than 1 win over $20. Needless to say I will go "across" town to another casino before I come back here.

Had a great time at the casino. Did not stay here or visit the buffet. The entire staff was courteous and friendly. The players club ladies were awesome. We only used the free soda machines but the co*cktail servers seemed always around. Very clean casino. We will definitely visit again.

I love their buffet. The brunch buffet is amazing. Everything from bacon and eggs to prime rib and all the side dishes. We were there for Mother's Day and the place was very busy, but the staff kept up with everything from serving food to clearing tables. I'm not into gambling, however my wife is and she is very happy with Bally's. We recommend this business.

First time there I thought it would be a little loud since it has a major casino in it as well but was surprised how quiet it was in the rooms,does have room for truck parking but could have a number to call front desk for truck drivers to call and and maybe send a valet golf cart driver to pick the driver up, it is a bit of a walk for truck drivers. I'm a travel nurse and was thoroughly enjoying going to Bally's quad cities every 2 weeks when I had some down time. I was receiving some great deals/offers via email and snail mail making it possible for me to afford to stay a couple days and play. Then in June the offers stopped... so I stopped going. Guess they can thank the marketing department for ending my visits.Regarding my stay. Most of the staff made it fun. Housekeeping always accommodating, hotel reservations staff was patient with my room requests and always accommodating as well and always did their best to allow early check in when I had been up all night working, drove all the way from Janesville WI and would show up straight from work still in my scrubs.The room was clean most of the time. My last visit I stayed in a room that had trash on the floor under the chaise lounge and personal items left in the night stand. The bathroom door of heavy wood would not slide easily on the tracks.The buffet was a huge disappointment with long waits when only a few people were actually eating, tables weren't getting cleared and customers were having to wait even though staff was observed standing around talking. Once seated I observed the buffet wasn't getting restocked and when they did and food was spilt in the process the staff just left it there rather than cleaning up the spill.

I think their buffet needs to be open later than 8pm on the weekends, and their crab the extra fee is outrageous when you dont get much for the price. The food was all pretty much put away so there was not much to eat, and the employees were boxing up their own meals to take home while the customers were still trying to get food. If you are going to close that early and have no food- please inform the customers that there is no real selectionPaying $80+ for 2 people to have the experience we did. Not greatWe wanted a different place to eat and it obvious is a place to comeTo during the day or early evening not around 7-7:30pm and have almost all food put away

I am only giving a three star review for one reason. The sheets on the bed were like sleeping been two pieces of card board. Other than the stiff sheets all was well.

They changed the whole name and vibe of the place. Then when I went to get a players card they said I had one, from back when it was Jumors when I was 21. Seems stupid to have a "new casino" but old card.I got married and my name changed and that was an entire issue.

1st time visiting. Membership included various promotions and a bag 🎒. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. Won at the casino. That is always a plus. Sorry I did not get pictures of our Buffet Dinner. Whole fried catfish on Fridays!

Had a great time at this casino yesterday! I left about $400 ahead, and enjoyed sitting down for a meal at their buffet before leaving for the day.My only complaint was the patron who, upon seeing that I wasn’t using a card, wouldn’t stop pestering me about playing on his. I didn’t, and eventually just moved to another machine. Not exactly something I can hold against the casino itself, but still very annoying!

INCREDIBLE PLACE!!! We (two people in their mid-20s) spent almost 4 hours there. With kids you could easily spend more. MANY hands-on science activities, animals to see, and PLENTY to learn about. Staff INCREDIBLY knowledgeable with questions. A FANTASTIC place to spend a morning :)

Great museum. Two buildings, both two floors and both have aquariums. Loved the touch pools for sting rays and one for starfish, and sea cucumbers. There was also an outdoor section for a wet land exhibit and birds. They also had a large boat that you could explore. Lots of information and interactive exhibits it's. All staff we meet was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend bringing quarters outdoor pond to feed the fish.

Will definitely not get tired of visiting aquariums! Staffs are very approachable and knowledgeable! One of the best aquarium I’ve been too, great service! Their stingrays are very social as well and we definitely enjoy it! They have a large area as well and another building so there’s really too much to see!

Great place for the family! So much to see and do. The museum and aquarium is very interesting. It’s two separate buildings and an outside part. My daughter really enjoyed coming here. Our favorite part was the aquarium/seeing the fish.

But there is plenty the way it is.Cost is fairly high in my opinion, but I'm a cheapskate. No worse than going to a movie, or out to eat for a family. They need to pay the bills too, and you're supporting an educational gem in the process.They periodically have traveling displays that visit to add to the amount you can see and do.We would definitely go again!

Amazing science, natural history, and history museum. Excellent. I've had the privilege to visit the big museums in DC, New York, Chicago and elsewhere, and the Mississippi River Museum punches well above its weight for an establishment located in a small out-of-the-way city. The quality, variety, depth, and curation of all parts of the museum and its grounds are excellent. Well worth the trip!

Great way to spend the day! Our group all had fun (kids aged 3, 6 & 15 + adults) with plenty to explore in each area. The aquarium tanks in both buildings were the favorite of all. The STEM labs had truly engaging & fun activities and the water table was a nice play break.The space is beautifully designed and easy indoor outdoor transition- seemed very wheelchair/stroller friendly.Don’t miss checking out what’s on board the William M. Black 🛳️ we had fun talking about what life on a boat would be likePleasantly surprised at cafe offering and gift shop 🛍️ The entire staff was kind and welcoming and the space was clean. Despite going on a Summer Saturday and it was busy, it didn’t feel crowded.We will be back again!

Great place to go. My kids LOVE petting the sting rays and the sea anemones. There used to be another play area upstairs I thought but I don’t know what happened to it. Your ticket is a 2 day pass, my kids only spent about 2 hours there before they were ready to leave. I have a 6 year old and 8 year old. The boat was put away for the season so that usually takes about 30 minutes and they were too cold to go to the marsh area. But they had a lot of fun. We went the next day to pet the stingrays again and play in the kid area. We were also members with out zoo so we were able to get a discount!

Great museum and aquarium. There were a lot of interactive visits for my 2 and 4 yo I clouding two different water tables. There was a free makers space with basic art supplies and a bunch of interesting 3-d printers which were not available for use but neat to see and an informative employee was there to answer questions. Lots of cool animals to see including otters, alligators, snakes, an eel, fish, and raptors. We were there for 2 hours and there was still more to see. We skipped over most of the more adult stuff but there was planeta to read and learn for a more mature audience.

We loved our experience! So much to see and do for all ages. Our kids (5 and 3) had a blast. A lot of educational, interactive and live animals to enjoy. Highly recommend. We can't wait to visit again and check out the 4D theater and pet the sting rays.

Buy tickets in advance and save a couple of dollars to use in their cafe. So much to do and see and touch. This is a real hands-on educational gem. We've been here many times and every time there is something new to explore, and older to re-explore The stingray touch and see tank is always a delight. Be gentle and the stingrays will come back for more touches. The cozy IMax like film theater allows everyone a phenomenal seat. The (at least 3D) films are worth the slight extra cost... Especially film #2 when purchased together with film #1. Marvelously they can both be 4D!! Films change frequently and they're always interesting and educational. Visit both indoor sides and it's outdoor middle. History and the future come alive behind every door and the information might be presented by a person, video, computer, well designed display or some other way. Additionally we met Tom and Becky there. They are wonderful to watch; however, you have to go to know how well they are doing what they otter.

Great place for all ages!! Very large complex, and you have the opportunity to see it over 2 days included in the price of admission. Pet the rays, see the fish, tour the riverboats, see a short 4D film, and explore some science themed exhibits.

The River Museum was not only very educational but all very interactive. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by the nice attendants in the front. They inform you where certain exhibits are located and what’s located in the other building (as this place is HUGE) . For any pressed penny collectors out there , there is one machine in the main building and one in the second. The second building contains all the salt water fish along with the child play area. My favorite was the otter and the sting rays. On their website they have a live camera to view the otter from 8am- 5 pm alongwith a live camera to view the Mississippi River. Definitely recommend for all to visit.

A smaller aquarium but still very enjoyable. I loved the otter, the octopus, and the raptures! The boat museum was an added bonus. Even though we went on the day there were many little kids dressed for Halloween, we still enjoyed ourselves. We were able to see everything. The added Halloween decor and band playing made it extra fun!

Great place to visit grand kids loved it, indoor and outdoor bits to visit. Outdoor you can wander round the dock and explore the old dredging paddle steamer. Indoors there's the aquarium with fish, alligators touch pools, displays on the Mississippi and it's flood plains. There's a kids discovery area with pools too play in, with an activity room.There's a old line shaft driven machine shop with lathes, planner, grinding and polishing wheels radial drill. In the second building there's more of the story of the Mississippi it's captain's and the natives.There a restaurant with a good clean bathroom.A good gift shop with a good range of bits and bobs.There's offers on the entry prices depending on the mix of the group visiting we got two seniors, two adults and one child in for 109.75 adults are 23.95 seniors 21.95 youth 17.95 under 3 are free

This was a marvelous family adventure. Everyone learned a lot about engineering, tools, pioneers of innovation, conservation, Native Americans, trades, floods, stingrays, & a lot more!! I encourage everyone to make this visit, so worth it!!We were even able to touch sting rays, starfish, & sea anemones😆😆😆 totally Fantastic experience!!

This was a super cool place and highly recommended the house tour. Our house tour guide Craig, he was super awesome and loved that he was in a period time uniform. It just added to the whole experience. I wish other staff members were dressed the same. The reason I kept it from 5 stars was I was a bit disappointed in the gift shop. There wasn't much field of dreams items and to meet that's the main attraction and there should be many items relating to the movie and period time clothing that the ball players wore. They do ask for a $20 dollar donation.They should have stuff that says " if you build he will come" or have some of the other famous quotes on clothing with the baseball diamond in the background, have other souvenirs that relate to the movie and not just all clothes that's baseball team related.

This is a free attraction. However, donations are encouraged. There is a concession building & another building for merchandise. You can purchase house tours, but they are for certain times, so if you want one, be sure to look at the schedule and time your visit. It was fun to be able to go onto the field and pitch to our kids & we were all able to bat!If you love the movie I would recommend going to! As the season goes on, the corn grows.

Hats off to all the owners over the years for having preserved this iconic site! It is magical from the time you drive up the driveway to the time you pull away! Even though the corn had been harvested, it still seemed like Shoeless Joe Jackson would appear and want to play ball. We even took a few swings on the field with the gear that is provided for your enjoyment, and other families did the same. The house tour was extremely informational, I highly recommend it! ($20/person) I have mixed feelings about all of the ball fields that are in the works to be built around the original, but still think it’s worth every mile to come and have the experience of standing on the Field of Dreams!

It was a very nice day but windy when I visited. It is nicely maintained and full of history. The admission is free, but I suggest at least $5 donation per person. After all, it requires basic maintenance. There is a gift shop on-site, and you can rent the baseball equipment I'd you don't have yours. It also has a concession stand for quick lunch and snacks. Everything is like what you see in the movie. You can call walk in the field like those players walked out of corn field. The whole place is just very pleasant to visit. If you close your eyes, you can feel the pleasant breeze and smell the corn field. If your heart is quiet enough, you will also feel that spiritual connection just like Kevin Costner heard in the movie "If you build it, they will come". Although it feels like heaven, it definitely is Iowa. I never thought that Iowa's has so much to offer.

Visited the field on a week day with friends, was surprised with the decent amount of visitors. When you pull off the road, there is a booth asking for donations as you pull into park. The field was open and we checked it all out. We did in advance buy tickets for the house tour. Was the longest tour of the smallest space I have ever been on, but the tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the information he was sharing. Gift shop is a newer building with a variety of options. Can knock out everything out in around an hour.

Was a very neat experience visiting the house & the field! We did the tour through the house & got to go on the field, and thought it was so cool just being there! So nostalgic how it’s set up just like the movie! Being an Iowan, it’s a must see!

Absolutely loved visiting this place. It’s so perfectly maintained you feel like you’ve been transported to another place. Lots of equipment so you can have a game. Plenty of parking. Free entry but they suggest a donation. We were very happy to pay for the privilege of being there. Don’t miss it!

It was exactly like it was as if you were in the movie. Love the baseballism store addition and restaurant. Makes the drive worth it. Cute little snack shop called stretches. The corn was perfectly tall in each row. The diamond was fun for all the kids and family's to get up there and hit and catch balls. A defiant must see. They do have a donation you give at the entrance and you get a cute bumper sticker to enter. If you want to tour the house it is 24.00 adult and 12.00 a kid

It's hard to describe being here but it's like a little piece of heaven! For sure a destination stop, as it's not close to anything but well worth the drive. $20 to tour the house, which is a guided tour and Greg was great! You can spend as much time as you want to there in the field and stands and there is a gift shop, snack shop and porta potties. The house can also be rented out for stays. "They will come Ray, they will come"!!

We just returned home from a trip to Field of Dreams. What a great experience! Don't delay taking your children there for some long lasting memories. You will get chills when the nostalgic ball players walk out of corn field into the outfield.

This was a dream come true. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. My son plays ball, so it was great sharing this visit with him. Got their at opening, no wait. The property is free to enter, but they ask for donations. You get some swag for donation amount. They have used ball gear for you to play ball on the very field from the film. That was the best part for my family visit. The only downside was that the corn wasn't grown! Where's Shoeless Joe and Doc hiding out? 🤔Sitting in the stands was fun, imagining the game play. There is a carving on the top row, which Kevin made between filming scenes. The original house is there to be toured, as well as a gift shop. Take a look at their "Master Plan" in the gift shop to see what they plan for the property in the coming years.

For what it is, it was really cool. As a baseball/softball fan and fan of the movie, the whole concept is amazing. Getting to play on the field, walk in the cornfield- truly a fun experience! Nice giftshop. A definite must to visit for baseball fans!

It is a must do if you've seen the movie. Leave a donation in support of maintaining the site. It looks just like the movie and we were lucky enough to see it with the corn grown and kids playing a game on the field. We heard there is a ghost team that played that Saturday but we couldn't attend. Climb the bleachers to see the heart carved by Kevin Costner. Tour the house if you can. Definitely waves of emotion to see the site, remember the purpose of the movie and be present there.

It was cool to see it. It was not a big tourist attraction and they try to keep it that way. The only price is a suggested donation, so a person can go in and look around watch baseball being played on the field, look at the house and visit the gift shop. It is on a gravel road approach so motorcycles need to be careful. The shops close at 6:00 p.m. but you can still watch baseball.

I can't explain the vibes I got, when visiting.A truly spiritual experience, for me, and I haven't pinpointed why, yet.You must meet Al, who was out there, tending to the infield.He's been a staple there for 33 years, and shared with me that he's picked up the title, Godfather Al.A wonderful man, he was.This place is a must do, in my book.

Absolutely awesome!! My wife and I started to get excited on that memorable drive up (the one where you see all the headlights headed towards the field) to the property. This place screams the spirit of baseball in a gentle way. Standing in the corn and then walking out gave me the chills. From sitting in the stand looking out over the iconic field to standing by the memory filled front porch swing, it was an amazing experience. Just reminded me of simpler times before we became so wrapped up technology.The gift shop and food stand were also very cool. Have a beer with Ray! Also, the additional stores and museums in town are worth a visit as well.

This place is HUGE and worth the trip! There is a reason why it’s on the top things to do before you die. Every kind of food - every kind of vendor - every kind of farm animal and so much of it is unique. The Ye Old Mill and the Sky Glider are petty cool. Plus the butter cow is a classic that is worth the wait. It’s one of a kind and just a piece of state fair history.

Great experience! Wear your walking shoes, because it's a lot of walking, but worth every step!

It was a awesome place to have the car show and they was able to get alot in there with having the indoor swop meet and other places to see will definitely try and be back next year.

World class entertainment. Wonderful returning and new fair foods. Awesome fireworks show after every grandstand concert. Great free educational and interesting activities for all.What I wish the fair would do is add lines in the grandstands for water. People who want to purchase water shouldn't have to wait in mile long, beer lines just to buy water, especially when the heat index is 105°.

This is probably one of best state fair in the country. Great place to be. Lots of fun activities to do with your family. Lots of food trucks . Parking get filled quickly. You should avoid weekends if you can.

Best event in Iowa! We go every year! Baby animals are our favorite part of every visit! During our visit, the Iowa State parade showed up and surprised us with an amazing show! In the kids forest we watched a talent show that was hilarious! We couldn't find the giant slide but overall the experience was more than worth it!

Iowa State Fair!! First time visitor after living in the state for more than 20yrs. Boy have I been missing a great experience! We enjoyed the Bill Reilly talent search, the fantastic displays and the livestock exhibits. Horse and cattle shows are such an interesting thing. Fair food was super great though my diet was mercilessly destroyed ! Highly recommended!!

Born and raised in Iowa moved around as military wife around US and currently a truckers wife of 18 years that's been to 47 of the lower 48 and nothing compares to Iowa state Fair.I'm now grandma and love passing down the traditions of spending our last few days of summer before school starts showing the Iowa love to them.It definitely has had a lot of changes and changes are hard but it seriously is worth spending at least 1 full day if not all 11 days enjoying Iowa Pride.My oldest grands are aging out of kids activities like little hands on the farm and little kid stuff but we had an amazing day doing things people of all ages do.We have a large family and usually have at least one family or friend involved in the events somehow. This year we had my uncle enter a pumpkin and a cousin that won lots of ribbons with her sheep.Even if you don't know someone going in you will make a new friend before you leave.

So thankful to have the fair back this year! I happily go every year. No matter the weather, it's an awesome event.I take my time and see everything. Go through every building and barn. Ride some rides. Try some different foods. Get my face painted. Listen to live music. Learn something during a show. Watch a parade. Buy a trinket or do a personality test. Play games in the midway. Watch a talent show. Taste some wine or beer. Look at farm machinery. Hold a snake. Sometimes enjoy a concert or 2. Ride a tractor trolly. Collect some freebies at various vendors. Do a portrait. Watch a cooking demonstration.It's amazing to see families and groups of every religion, size, age, shape, and color all having a good time at a common event. Makes my heart full. Here's to another 100 years of State Fair!

My first experience at the Iowa State Fair. So glad we were able to go! Very crowded, of course, but no particularly long lines which was nice. Surprised to learn that additional tickets were needed for the house show, but it is what it is. Enjoyed the butter cow and seeing the grand champions!

It was so awesome to see because I had never been there. Everything was nice and clean and easy to get around.

Great place for some family fun. So much to do I would recommend 2 days or more. 1st day of the fair is slightly less busy and great day to start. Place is clean and lots of staff or volunteers that were willing to help. Map was great to let you know what the schedule of activities were and how to get around. Bring lots of money as food is 8+ dollars on average per item. Water ran 3$ a bottle.

Nice and neat and well organized! Lots of convenient parking. Enjoyed the tram ride over the fairgrounds, a relaxing way to take it all in. Pecan pie with bacon on a stick, corn dog, pork chop on a stick, root beer float and tasty daiquiri. 😋

I was in the area, and thought I would stop in for a few hands of blackjack. All of their tables (except one, that was full) paid 6 to 5 on blackjack instead of the centuries old standard of 3 to 2. This makes playing blackjack worse odds than some slot machines. Anytime you see 6 to 5 blackjack, you should refuse to play, and leave a one star review of the casino. Perhaps they will start offering traditional odds on BJ again if everyone did this.

Asked for a restaurant in the casino and was only told about the Whisky Roadhouse as it was the only one at the establishment by these two red shirt employees. After eating there, it was decent but, not really what we were looking for for a good dinner. Anyway, we started walking around to gamble a little and found a very nice steak house, which was more of what we were looking for, for dinner not a rice bowl and a burger that anyone can get anywhere at any point in time. Either way I had a decent time with my friend from out of town. Next time I will be going to the steak house restaurant to get a great meal.

Everything is all on one floor. Slots are looser compared to Ameristar's. Doesn't feel closterphobic because they have room to spread everything out. My only complaint is there were no drink servers and only one drink station. The restrooms were on the same side as the drink station. Overall, it's not bad.

The iconic name is not in good keeping with what you might expect. The last time I was in a casino this dirty was on a reservation in the middle of nowhere.Place smells like an ashtray because they don’t manage the air or keep it clean. There’s ashes, dirt and grime on all of the machines, the carpet is stained and stank. I never saw any employees cleaning like you typically would and it shows. Also had red shirt employees cut us off rudely multiple times. Place runs like a two bit operation… never be back…

It was fun . Went late so there wasn't many people. Free pop and coffee. Garage to park in . Clean bathrooms. Lots of slot machines & and card and dice tables. I limed it better when u cashed out and got money instead of a ticket.

Great selection of slot machines and denomination. Great benefits if you have a players card. Large and roomy, one floor. There was a small non-smoking room, but it is now gone, hoping it will come back. Miss the buffet, of course, but the food at JB's is excellent. Have never been to the steakhouse, but you can see the menu and the prices outside the door of the place. Free pop and coffee. There is a hotel attached. Surface and garage parking available, no valet and handicapped parking, is not the greatest. Not enough stalls. Overall, this is a great casino, but just like all casinos, be prepared to lose your money.

Great food, service and games ( when they’re open). Food options close early. Limited table games and poker options open during the week ( which is standard post Covid but nonetheless disappointing). Sometimes takes a while to get service at the only bar that is always open because there’s only 1-2 bartenders serving the entire building. I enjoy it so much more on the weekends when the hustle and bustle of patrons enjoying all the Horseshoe had to offer is available. Still one of my favorite casinos in the country.

Don't get across the river often at all. It was a treat to go with my ride or die. We had fun. From my favorite roulette to the oh so economical penny slots. It was thoroughly entertaining. I am a lucky charm but it's only to others lol

Super fun! Has a lot of character, had a nice winning streak on the big dice craps machine. Customer service was super helpful also getting me upgraded to Platinum status with my veteran ID. Really cool they are linked with Caesars rewards so I can get perks out in Vegas too. Clean machines and friendly bartenders too. Good trip.

I come from Sioux Falls SD . I used to go grand falls casino in Sioux Falls . I got very bad experience over there .I ‘m happy I found this place today., all dealer supper nice and friendly. Need new chairs for the slots. I was wearing shorts and the chairs pinched my legs. The chair seats were cracked, split or just broken when sitting on the chairs.. Also, I don't know if they need to hire more personnel but the slots machines are dirty, I did not see anyone cleaning. Cigarette ashes, sticky substances, and trash were left on the slot tops. People could get sick from these slots. You have all sorts of people from all over playing these slots. If you don't disinfect your hands constantly you could become sick or spread a disease. I like this casino but it has gone down hill a bit since I was there last. I hope it improves soonest.

Some of the slot machines had buttons that were not legible, and the video blackjack game was calibrated incorrectly. What I mean by that is when you selected any one of the 3 special bets, it would be either the one to the right or left. It was never the one selected. Also, their points club makes little to no sense. I think it would be worth it if you spend thousands of dollars but not for the one-off occasional gambler. However, JD's Cafe is pretty decent food and worth the price for the portions you get.

Getting a bit run down, and needing updates. Vistors can be a bit schetchy at late night times. The sports bar is nice, and the newest restaurant as well. Not cheap prices. It's an old river boat casino, so you kinda get what you get.The service is always top-notch, though. That's a plus.

The security staff are abysmal. There is one named Jen that kicked a friend of mine out for being intoxicated, which was acceptable, but while we were trying to get a ride she told us to get off the property immediately or she was calling the police. When we showed her we were trying, she said we weren't trying hard enough and my friend offered to walk to a neighboring hotel to wait and she told him he couldn't leave or she'd call the cops. All she did was escalate the situation rather than help to solve the problem and cut us a bit of slack for trying to leave and rides being far and few between.

4/5 stars rated. Sure could use all the blessings during times like these. Hopefully something begins to look up here ASAP. Anyways, yall will not be disappointed upon entering these doors. Be patient and things will slowly but surely begin to go your way. If you believe, you shall succeed. Have a blessed life. Cheers!

Do not gamble here, especially don’t play 6 deck blackjack. The dealers here always hit 20-21 no matter what. Your better off taking your luck on slots. It’s way rigged against the player, they don’t shuffle there cards by hand, it’s all done by a machine. So if you come here planning to play blackjack do something else.

Machines are tight! This place is disgustingly dirty. Ashes from cigarettes all over the machines. Cups on the slot floor. Trash cans double as ashtrays and are overflowing with cigarette butts. Chairs need updating. Whole place needs updating. The non smoking section is a joke. People constantly walking thru the area smoking. I would not recommend coming to this place.

Spent many hours there over 2 days. I enjoyed the variety of games. The machine had a button to push that called for beverage service. The restaurant options were clean and the burger in the Cafe was excellent. The is a Caesars Casino affiliate.

Always love going here and one of the best things about Omaha, and a must-see if you're not from here! The desert dome is perfect to go in when it's beginning of Spring or in Fall time honestly due to it getting so hot. My boyfriend and I walked the whole zoo in about half a day, being able to enjoy everything and this was when it was still under construction, about mid March. He is from California and says he's likes this zoo way more than San Diego Zoo. We are currently planning to go back sometime, its great experience and exercise!Recently went with my nanny kids too and they always have a blast when going, mainly stayed in the area with the small 'town' , as they call it, popcorn was great and staff was friendly and quick. A must see is always the aquarium, I will never get over the amazing tunnel of ocean above my head, my nanny kids were happy to see turtles in there.Thanks for being a great zoo and I can't wait to take my kids someday here.

This was our first time visiting Henry Doorly Zoo and it's the best zoo I've ever been to. There is so much to see and do. We enjoyed riding the carousel and train. It was 97° during our visit and the Alaskan Adventure splash park was a fun end to our day. We loved the Butterfly Pavilion, Desert Dome, Scott Aquarium, and Lied Jungle. Make sure to pack water and snacks as the food is not cheap! Overall, a wonderful experience!

Everyone said you have to check out world class zoo here in Omaha. The experience was good. But when you hyped up about the zoo, you will compare to DC Smithsonian or St. Louis Zoo. I think those are a bit better. So not to take away from the hard working people at the zoo. They offer various sights for animals. But because the was so hot most outdoor animals were not so active. The combining of aquarium and zoo together was a good idea. This is a whole day event for family. As we walked in, there’s no security checking any bags , so you can bring everything into the zoo. Restrooms were in need of improving. The smell of restrooms are ever present around the area. And additional fee apply for feeding giraffes, riding skylift over safari sections and other activities. If you come in early , recommend going to south entrance(main entrance). There were a lot of parking and all free.

The Lied Jungle is probably the coolest area. Be sure to check it out early as it closes at 4 pm.The desert dome is cool, but a very minimal number of animals are actually there. They built a desert inside to make it look authentic. I'd say that's what makes omaha zoo so unique. It's not actually that big, and they don't have a ton of animals, but they did a good job of recreating different environments in which the animals would live.The aquarium is okay. Part of it was closed when we were there, so we didn't get to experience the whole thing.The train is cool, but you can't really see any of the animals while riding it because of all the brush overgrowth. You do have to pay extra for the train ride.The Sea Lion training was neat, but be sure to get there early. The seats fill up fast.

The zoo is fantastic. We've been to many zoos throughout the US and abroad, this one ranks up there with the best ones. The grounds are massive and covering all the exhibits in one day would be challenging. Especially if you have kids with you, then forget about it and just enjoy what you can get to.The elephant wing and grounds are really good and seeing the babies there was incredible. The steam train was also really fun and a must do. The gorilla pavilion is really cool and well put together. I'm not a big fan of looking at the gorillas because you can clearly see the sadness and sorrow in their eyes... It's sad to see them in captivity.

We love this zoo! we have the passes and they are absolutely worth it! In just 2 visits they pay for themselves!This zoo allows you to bring in your own food and drink which is just the best and lets us really enjoy the day without cutting it in half as there is just SO much to see!

Absolutely beautiful zoo. Plenty of walking area. Even though it was a rainy day they were misters that are probably amazing in the summer for those hot days. My boyfriend told me they also have splash pads they open in the summer. They were also accommodating for the cold, all the animals were still in viewing areas just brought inside which I’ve never seen at a zoo. Not to mention the aquarium and butterfly garden. Both out of this world some of the best exhibits I’ve ever seen

This is the best zoo experience I’ve ever had. You walk in to each of the sections and it’s like you’re in there with them! All the birds flying around, the monkeys, and otters, and many more are right there! Seeing gorillas in person for the first time was just wild. The aquarium was fun, and just as good as Ripleys. The night time area was the coolest. Walking around on these docks in the dark, hearing and seeing all these animals splashing and moving around you. To top it all off, we saw the tiger. Since we came in winter, we only got to see half the experience, but we will try to return again in summer to see everything!

I really like this zoo. It's environmental friendly and there is animals from all over the world. I would definitely recommend this as number 1 zoo. It's so big you can't visit it in one day. The aquarium is spectacular; you can walk under sharks! There is volunteering opportunities for those fourth grade and up.

The most incredible zoo meant for all ages. Free parking. $25 entrance fee for adults, kids two and under free. Beautiful and well kept. We went on a Saturday during peak hours and saw the Apes, Aquarium, the Jungle, creatures of the night. There is so much to enjoy here. Little nooks to get up close. Plenty of spots to sit down as you’re walking around.

I can easily see why they are overall one of the best zoos in the United States. From the time you enter until the time you leave the customer service is about a 9. If you're having a problem at the kiosk some will walk right over and help you. Most of the exhibits are indoors so you can't really complain about the heat unless you're just a miserable person. The food is definitely over price so make sure you bring a lunch. Make sure you read the signs on the way to the butterfly area it clearly States no strollers are allowed so a lot of people hold the lineup removing kids from the strollers. Just don't go with a bunch of lazy lobsters that want to sit down the whole trip because they do block the view of the kids trying to see the animals. If I lived in Omaha I would definitely have a zoo membership. I enjoyed my trip so I hope you enjoy yours

We loved our day at the zoo! It’s a long walk but totally worth it. The zoo is clean, organized and safe for visitors. The kids (and adults!) were entertained all day. We were impressed at how close we got to some of the animals, especially the tiger and the alligators. Pro tip: the dome has a basem*nt! We missed the stairway the first time through!

This is an amazing zoo.I have been to quite a few zoo's around the US as that is what me and my wife do every anniversary, we visit a zoo or aquarium in a different state each year. I have to say you can spend two days here, the Desert Dome is awesome, and while on the sky safari I gave my wife a new wedding ring set. It was breathtaking. Thank you Omaha Zoo

Absolutely amazing zoo and attractions! Our family spent 3 full days there. We took our time, and saw the entire zoo. This was the first time taking our kids there and they were immersed in everything the entire time. Each day, they were disappointed to have to leave. We bought a membership, that happened to line up with member appreciation week, and it was well worth it. We went on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and the crowd wasn't bad. We are already planning another trip!

I used to come here all the time and it has been about 5 years since I was last here. Normally, this place is 5/5 for me. However, with all of the construction inside the zoo and about 50% of the animals present, it’s a 3/5. You’ll find many exhibits are closed and some of the animals missing from the smaller buildings. It doesn’t help that the two food trucks and most of the restaurants were either closed and only sold drinks/chips. I went on a Friday afternoon. Admission prices should be less if they have less to offer the public. Basically a ghost town once you get inside. I recommend not coming here this year.

This zoo is amazing!!! On cold weather days, you still have so many animal enclosures to visit indoors, you can easily stay warm. And on warm days there are plenty of exhibits to see as well. There's a reason this zoo was ranked #1 in all 3 categories last year! Fantastic job @OmahaHenryDoorlyZoo

For the price and the hype for "world top ranked zoo", I expected better. Water bowls in many enclosures were very murky, the size of enclosures seemed too small in certain areas (especially in the Desert Dome) and many of the animals looked way too depressed (especially the gorillas and tigers). The Desert Dome was the most disappointing. For such a large dome, the animals were in small enclosures wrapped with netting, and the interior design of the landscape in the dome was just underutilizing the size of the dome, which makes me wonder if the design of the dome just for flexing from the outside. I also definitely did not see 1000+ species of animals as advertised on websites, plus there were a lot of the same animals in different zones. Food options were also terrible for a top ranked zoo. I've visited many other zoos with less to no cost and still had better animal exhibits, much more species of animals, management, and food options (like the free St Louis Zoo, Smithsonian Zoo, Kansas City Zoo and Seattle's Woodland Zoo). Makes me wonder where the $25 per person money goes too....Despite that, putting the status and price aside, I was still able to have a wonderful time at the zoo. The close experiences with the giraffe and elephant families were an unforgettable experience. Kinda bumped that the Forest Trial was closed during my visit, but the Lied Forest was my favorite exhibit, with an amazing replica of a tropical environment. The zoo can be fully explored within a day if you don't have kids with you and if you fully spend the opening hours in the zoo. I also recommend bringing your own food for lunch.

Often considered one of the best zoo's in the nation and rightly so. This zoo is absolutely top notch. The dessert dome and accompanied cave exhibit under ground are superb. Tons of animal exhibits and a pristine park. Plenty of family friendly restrooms and kid activities to keep the young ones, and parents happy. Every exhibit is a unique experience, don't expect to see it all in one day.

This place is amazing! Being from Orlando and having all the theme parks out expectations tend to be low when visiting places like this BUT let me tell you this place is amazing! We got to 95%of the exhibits in a day but it was tough but worth it! All of the animals were so active and felt so close to you even the lions and tiger!If you like baseball don't miss the wiffle ball field in the parking lot! Great day of memories made, hopefully we'll make it back another time!

My family voted this was not the #1 zoo that we have been too. It was a great day and we had fun, however the train had a long wait and then once we got on we saw no animals except maybe a couple and then saw a bunch of the back of the zoo. During this train ride they had to fill up so that took time too.Just walking around we hardly saw any animals. Inside the buildings we did see quite a bit but still feel like it was lacking.Our favorite part was the giraffe feeding and the sky lift.

Best Zoo, hands down, that we have been to. Everything is spaced out well. You will definitely get your steps in! The day we went, we got to see almost everything. Missed out on the lions and tigers, but got to see favorites like the giraffes and elephants! We spent about 3 hours there. Food establishments were all open, and service everywhere was great. The only problem we had was that there could be more signage as we lost our way a couple of times.

A truly wonderful zoo! You’ll enjoy the diversity of animals and keep in mind you’ll be doing a lot of walking! The aquarium with shark + sea turtle tunnel is a great rest out of the sun. Can buy food inside or bring your own. Really nice gift shop as well and great outing for couples or families. Don’t miss the giraffes (you can even feed them) or the monkeys in Lied Jungle. The gorilla center is top notch too.

I went to the zoo with my girlfriend during the Christmas festival and had a great time. We enjoyed walking around looking at the Christmas lights and hearing Christmas music. We also got to go through the aquarium and kingdom of the night while we were there. The animals are very active at night! Very cool and only $23 to get in. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic time here! There is some really cool exhibit design and very interesting species on display. I really liked walking through building with different biomes. I always like free-flying birds and there were some free-flying bats as well! In fact, there were more bat species on display here than any other zoo I've been to. Snakes are always of particular interest to me as someone who works with wildlife and has been working with snakes for 10 years. I was excited to see the Santa Catalina Island rattlesnake here! We all grinned ear to ear seeing beavers since they aren't common in zoos and listening to the staff sitting and feeding them talk about how they're cared for. Lots of arthropods are on display, including a butterfly house, and the aquarium was so fun to walk though too.

It was a random trip. We traveled to Lincoln to buy a car. Walked the streets that are lined in a perfect grid. While the tall building is a marvel, the treasure lies inside, dim light, spectacular tall beams, peerless marble work, wall murals, prefect chandeliers, the state house chambers, it has an imposing peaceful and quiet gravitas. The interplay of architecture, light and muted displays create a harmonious experience. The building is the museum. A must see.

Alison our tour leader has an in depth knowledge of the Capitol building and the impressive architecture. A must do if you're in Lincoln, thoroughly enjoyed.

Impressive architecture and artwork, mosaics, murals and tile work. Very interesting historically and culturally! Take the elevator to the top flor and you'll see an impressive view of the city and the Capitol's surrounding area.

I would say this is one of the more unique state capitols we have visited. The view from the 14th floor was expansive. Since the capitol was built significantly later than many other midwest capitol buildings, you get a fascinating mix of art styles. The architecture and planning crew's background probably has to do with this as well (you will find out if you take the tour). It is many fewer stairs than other capitols as well, which can be a plus for some.

Nebraska State Capitol building is very interesting from an architectural point of view. Lots of history and the artwork tells the story of Nebraska from pre-historic days to now. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Nice afternoon in Lincoln, NE. Definitely worth a stop and a couple of hours of your time.

The architecture is astounding. The intricate details, wood inlay, mosaics, art, and brass are beautiful. So much thought and care went into this building! The tour guide (Alison) was so knowledgeable! Don’t miss it when you visit, and check out the library too!

Missed the guided tour, but it wasn't really never to appreciate the architecture. Beautiful view from the observation deck.we even found out house. Will definitely be going again this summer

Absolutely must see in Lincoln. The second and the fourteenth floors have a lot of art work in them.Some of the art works have themes related to appreciation of workers. You’d see this kind of theme in communist and socialist artists works too, but here you get in it Nebraska State Capitol Building.

State Capitol is a landmark building in Lincoln... We couldn't go inside to appreciate the architecture but we could get a sense of the grandeur by seeing it from outside... Beautiful architecture and well manicured lawns... Visited the Natural History museum which was a very pleasant surprise and this building too was worth visiting...

A must see for every Lincoln resident or passerby. We enjoyed the guided tour and learned a lot from it. The city view from the top is breathtaking.

Such an amazing building. For us another state capitol and again someNew experiences we could collect. Parking in this area is kind of taff, wo we didt hat that amount ofTime, but an hour is good to go

We enjoyed the guided tour and learned about so many things. We went to the up top and the views are fascinating. But not able to fine any gift shop. Take a tour if you have some time during your visit to NE. You can park your car for free for two hours at the front door side and don’t miss the Lincoln statue.
