How to Make Steak Soup in an Electric Pressure Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
The Crock Pot Steak Soup recipe I adapted this recipe from is an oldie, but a goodie! Everyone who tries it absolutely raves about how delicious it tastes. I have always loved how easy it is to make even if it isn’t a dump and go recipe. So you know I had to try it out in an Instant Pot!
Instant Pot Steak Soup Notes:
- I used frozen noodles for this recipe, you can find them in your freezer section next to other frozen pasta.

- As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
- Finally, all electric pressure cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes shouldalways be tested first in your own electric pressure cooker and time adjusted as needed.

Can you use regular dried pasta or does it have to be frozen/fresh?

Hi Katie!I haven’t ever tried this recipe with dried pasta. It might change the cooking time. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

Is there a reason you browned your beef in a skillet instead of in the cooker using the sauté function? Maybe it would be too greasy? Just checking before I make this. Don’t want to dirty the extra pan but don’t want to mess it up either. Thanks!

Hi Angela! My skillet is larger than the inside of my Instant Pot, so I could brown more meat at once. I haven’t tried browning the meat in my Instant Pot. However, if you would like to saute the meat in your Instant Pot, then you will want to drain off any extra oil left after you saute the meat. I hope you enjoy it!
