“She’d been a bit of a misfit her whole life and would much rather spend her time with flawed people than people who feigned perfection.” Blurb: Margaret is a middle-aged divorcée with a laundry list of neuroses. Flying, germs and social situations all make her sweat. She's spent her life hiding behind her intense job and rigid routines, which is why she's as surprised as anyone when she abruptly walks away from her career to study French. This leap of faith snowballs into opportunities and experiences she could never have dreamed of. Travel, university, romance... none of these were on Margaret's agenda but her adventures - mostly exciting, sometimes terrifying, often both - will shake up her life and lead her on an unexpected path. Set between charming Greenwich, Connecticut and Paris, France, this feel good story will warm your soul like a hot café crème on a chilly Parisian morning. My thoughts: This book was such a sweet, cozy, feel good read! I absolutely love Margaret, she's one of those people who just has a heart of gold and you wish you could be real life buddies with! I really enjoyed getting to know her in the past and present! Also I have never read a book set in France (aside from the horribly depressing ones set in WW2) so it was so fun to read about it in this atmosphere! The authors make you feel like you are there! The writing style was great and it even made me laugh out loud at times! Thank you so much for reaching out to me ladies, and gifting me this beautiful copy! You can find this book on Kindle unlimited! Go read it! I give The French Professor by Susanne Huffman & Mindy Nix ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

THE FRENCH PROFESSOR by susanne huffman & mindy nix (fiction) so refreshing to have a vibrant, real, mature protagonist—especially one who is embarking on a grand new adventure + filled with references every francophile will swoon over + delightful!

“Margaret took a deep breath of the crisp fall air that surrounded an absolutely picturesque Parisian day. She often wondered if it was normal to feel nostalgic for a moment while it was still happening…These precious flashes in time were so fleeting that, even before they had passed, she felt a pant of sadness amongst the joy, already longing for the moment that she knew would all too soon become the past…Of course, she knew that the fleetingness of these moments, these seasons, was what made them precious in the first place.”

Thank you so much to the authors for sending me a copy of the book!
This book had such great vibes even though
I’m at a different point in my life than the main character, I still felt she was very relatable even though the situations may be different than what I’ve done or am currently going through. The descriptions of Paris were great and made me wish I was there, when she was walking the streets or going to museums, the descriptions of the French food and the shops, and her tiny apartment and neighbors all painted a charming picture. It was fun getting glimpses of her life at the different stages. Such a cute story!
Side note: I took French in middle school and have randomly picked it up over the years and this book really put me in the mood to get back to learning!

I loved reading this wonderful book written by Mindy Nix and Susanne Huffman! I was able to slip away into the main character’s life and enjoy living in Paris a bit through her eyes. I also loved the “French words” shared throughout the story. A perfect way for two French professors to write their first novel. I hope there are many more to come! Enjoy an afternoon or two, curled up with a cup or coffee or tea, reading The French Professor!

This one was utterly delightful. I adored Claire's perseverance to learn French and quit her job. This book read just like a wonderful story told by a friend. If you like anything French, you would love this book. Huge shoutout to Mindy and Susanne for gifting me a copy of their delightful book.

I loved this! Picked it up for my daughter who just returned from a trip to Paris as a gift, but started reading & fell in love. Margaret is my alter-ego. Rarely have I seen myself so much in a character. I haven’t been as adventurous as Margaret, but I think she has inspired me even if only a bit.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s funny but inspiring. Any female (young or old) who is trying to find her place in this world needs to read this book! I hope they are planning a sequel.

This book is a very easy, delightful read. If this were set solely around the holidays, I could see a Hallmark movie being made. Such an easy book to wind down to and makes me want to learn French!
